Best possible outcome for the community and Birmingham. Our senators have been able to milk the government over the past couple of decades.
Radio simulcast is cheap and it airs at 2pm, you expect them to but effort into that time slot?

Inspectors inspect. They do not create surveys they may pull a tape to verify the setbacks but the idea that they verify the forms and slab is laughable.

They don't even check set backs themselves. These days most every inspection office requires a foundation survey after foundation goes in to verify. They just give it a quick look and then sign your permit card allowing you to proceed with framing.
I can't wait to see the look on OP's face when his excavator shows up ready to start digging and asks where the batter boards are.

Just like every OT thread about building a house, it's rocket science that only GCs can figure out in the OT's hivemind. It's always hilarious.

Obviously a home owner build is doable, we're just piling on OP because he's coming off as a know-it-all jackass with his weird "subs" thing and presumptuous understanding of the permit office.
How has the company changed? Are you hopeful for the future of it?

If recent events prove anything, NFL voters are as petty as the MLB guys. Better chance of a 2x Heisman.
Dude is so marketable with the boyish good looks and how well he speaks.
If you're researching "permit expediters", just go ahead and hire a GC dude.
I don't know what your situation is or where you're located, but all you need is an architect and it's pretty simple. Submit your plans and as long as the architect is competent you're fine. My prints for my build that's on going were approved three days after submission.
Good timing on this thread. I'm putting an employee who's car broke down in an Uber later, was wondering how much this would cost me to get him home.
Hope he squeals on Epstein, Clinton, Trump, and the whole lot.
Really cool to see that he's that passionate about the sport. Now imagine how pissed he must have been at his Hornets team.
There is a myth out there that if you're in the state of Texas you're magically infused with oil money.

Does Malzahn rank above Tubs for Auburn fans? I believe one SEC title each, and of course Tub's "recent" 04 title.
I still watch his McElwain shark video whenever I'm feeling down.

History probably won't remember him as well as it should. Unless something changes on the plains a generation of Auburn fans will remember him as "the" guy.
Baby born last January via C section. We thought we paid everything post insurance (roughly $6k) only to get a bill six months later for $8k! I called and disputed, month later I get a bill saying it's only $2k. I just threw it in the trash, the system is so complicated they don't even know what they charge.
