Guys, this team is going to let y’all down at every turn if you have some sort of high expectations. It’s just a fact. They have that same feeling that the basketball team did when we barely beat Bakersfield and SE Louisiana early in the hoops season.

I'm with with HJ, and I know this isn't a popular opinion on here, but to me it's football, men's basketball and everything else. Yeah, I know it's tougher to compete in hoops. Yeah I know our hoops history sucks. Yeah I know this is a baseball region. But as has also been discussed college baseball is very much regional and from a national standpoint, it isn't close to basketball. Maybe it's an unobtainable goal for a variety of reasons, but I'd sure like us to be elite at basketball over baseball.

We were pitiful. Obviously the opponent is second to none, but a lot of that blowout was on us. Team needs a break. That was about an hour of my life I’ll never get back. I couldn’t watch much more.

They really are trash, and I’m pretty surprised. I guess that’s because tanking like this is just not something Beard has done before in his entire coaching career. I hope we are better next year.
