Odds are he beats lsu this year for 2 out of 3

I know we will likely be favored in that game

It's more likely that you get a real set of teeth and salaried employment.

aka... NOT frickING HAPPENING
COVID will likely knock out a lot of non revenue sports throughout various programs.

"Super 70's Sports", when you finally take a break sometime tmrw afternoon you can thank me.
This.

Cuomo's speech today addressed this.. we'll soon need to cut our losses economically and accept the fact we are going to lose a chunk of the weaker population.

The herd must continue.

If there is no football in the fall, one has to wonder if that is not the nail in the NCAA's coffin leading up to & possibly including an XFL type takeover or corporate co-ops. AD's in large part are practically over capitalized as it is being "non profits", factor in a year of virtually zero revenue?

Nightmare. Not every institution will be willing or able to subsidize that catastrophe.
Domestic violence, hunting violations, cock fighting and pregnancies will sky rocket.

Long way round the block, but yes.. legs created the issue. You run, you get hit.. can only take so many of those in this league.
Gotta ask yourself the question.. why Bjork? TBD..

Sherrill crawled into the SWC HQ's a few years after y'all parted ways with him & asked the Commish to help him with a job search (divorces & floundering car dealerships were catching up to him). Commish respectfully said "I can't consciously do that".. soon gets a call from the MSU AD wanting some feedback on Jackie.

AD tells MSU Pres & Board "no way".. thinks it's done & gets a call a few days later "we hired him without you".

Boosters.

My biggest complaint about Robert Gates was that he didn't give Byrne the authority to hire the football coach. Allegedly Byrne wanted Urban Meyer.

Ouch.

Dodds was in transit to KC to meet/lock down Gary Barnett when he got the word they had secured Mack behind his back.

We all have a boss in some place or some way.
Buddy works for a printing company... TAMU AD has a speculative order for "UNDEFEATED 2020" cups in place if the upcoming season is cancelled.
Better than JaMarcus Russell breaking into a Popeye's, JFF a dispensary or Tebow crashing the Vatican I suppose.

Byrne's problem was the same as his problem at Nebraska. He sucked at managing football.

Not sure Byrne had enough full control @ either spot, not sure many AD's do when it comes to football.

I think there are 10/15 or so 100% "self funded", but LSU is certainly in that mix & in my opinion gets the most respect as that kick back to the admin was/is crucial.

EDIT:

LINK

23 were self funded in '16. I think roughly 10 of those kick $5M back to the university admin each year. Texas kicks $10-$25M annually.

It'll be interesting how many can pass that test in 2020. My guess is zero.
NFL: Accuracy & brains in place of any threat to run.

As much as I loved Vince Young, the end result came as no surprise. If I'm a GM I'd go X/O's chalk talk & some kind of in game simulator as a qualifier. For every Jeff George & Vince Young you have the Joe Montana & Drew Brees types that say "Hola!".

Different game. Natural selection.

LSU is one the maybe 10 ADept's that kick money back to the University.

LSU ADept has been top 10% in revenue since I can recall.

Every AD will feel the economic stress of this recent crisis. I can't even put my head around it yet in regards to the ripple effect if the 2020 season is effected in CFB.

Good news is the motivation to have a 2020 CFB season is sky high/imperative. It literally must happen in some fashion.

I must be lucky! We had 3 guys on our staff that could hit 90+ In high school. They all played D1 ball.

Might be that none actually hit 90.

Our HS rotation:

DRAFTED/signed pitched @ UTexas
DRAFTED/signed NYY MiLB
DRAFTED/1 year San Jac JUCO then redrafted/signed with Rangers Milb
NOT DRAFTED/pitched @ JUCO/Baylor

All thought &/or were reported in 90's. None did in HS, one got to low 9's in college.

Sorry, busy evening. Main office is in Dallas, had to figure some things out.. Dallas County goes "Shelter in Place" as of midnite tnight. Check email, responded a bit ago.

Welcome to the future folks, social distancing is here to stay. Personally started it years ago by default... it's all good/no worries.

2018 season....

Reports vary to certain degrees in what some consider athletic escrow vs educational funding.. None of this should be taken at face value. Ask any CPA worth his/her salt.

Fall/Spring 2018/19.. most recent.

These numbers are pretty close to accurate as we'll ever see as it relates to hard/repeat revenue.

Sure hurts as a Texas fan, worst decade ever for big 3 sports & the money is still rolling. The administration is happy as a fat cat/no need to change.

And why would post results here. That defeats the purpose of the 5k bet right if i video me throwing 70+?

Entertainment. We are only in this convo because everyone is bored to death. Check your email this evening..
I'm guessing you are near Huntsville. I have no plans on ever being near that area nor any connections near that area so a wager of $5K is not going to happen without us both attending.

Do the email thing tho... I'd go honor system for $300 @ 80 mph, you owe nothing if you can't hit it, just post the results here so we can stay entertained. Certain there is a facility close enough to you that will have a stalker & space you can rent for $50 or so.. you'd net $250 if you hit the number, out $50 @ worst.

So how many bottom half starting QBs has won NFL MVP and taken their team to the Super Bowl? Just give me one example in the history of the NFL.

Tommy Tutone likes the way you think, but Rich Gannon is your huckleberry. Regardless, that line of thought is why women think that one amazing blow job is good for decade long hall pass.

If you want to talk about his transition into the coming years, that is moving the goalposts from your original post and point you were trying to make. You referenced his last 9 years, not his coming years in the future.

Now that's as serious of a projected preemptive suicidal strike if I've ever seen one.

I directly refuted what you said by pointing out that you selectively cherry picked certain statistics that were underwhelming( which are very few), while refusing to acknowledge the things he did that were outstanding( which are very many).

I’ll even go this far.. if not for Cam’s shoulder injury, he would be an upgrade to Dak Prescott for the Cowboys. Similar player and skills but Dak is a watered down version of Cam.

Toss a coin, they are both in that same tier... common sense says take the younger guy with the upward career arch though.

up to high 90's but you better have a brand new ball with few imperfections & it's going to look like 120 mph from the standard 40' cages with no hand break to sync it.

Tried it and wouldn't advise it.

I didnt see anything, anyways.

70-80 now?? That wasnt the original bet but whatever.

responded @ 2:30 to a post you made in OT @ 11:30

either way, question was how close are you to DFW? If not closest other major metro

If we are going to do it, now is the time.. this board needs action.

And we had multiples in options from 70-80 mph as well.
Check your post replies.. mssg’d Ya earlier in the afternoon
