Depends on the brass at OM. Do they want to admit to being over their heads and hiring Pete, or do they have too much vanity and not admit a mistake? And Golding stays win or lose

Is probation even a thing anymore?

Preach brother. I’m on the other side of Lake Erie and about 70 nautical miles away from Canada. This is pretty much business as usual. But I say that knowing that there are many southern states that are a bit out of the element when it comes to this type of stuff. I hope they all find some resources and stay safe. I had family that used to live in Warner Robins GA and in the event of an ice storm, it was borderline catastrophic at times. We should all be looking out for each other in times of crisis.

Was in the military and stationed out in New Mexico. One of the airman that lived above me in the barracks was a LSU fan. Real good down to earth dude that had Cajun crawfish boils every weekend with top notch liquor and cases of beer in his dorm. Don’t know how the hell more of us didn’t get sent to the commander’s office after some of those gatherings lol. Wild times

To my fellow ranters south of the Mason Dixon- be safe and stay warm. We got our marching orders and the plows are fueled up and ready for some all nighters this weekend.

Take it from some other posters in here. More Banner, more banner. As a Buckeye fan, we are getting ready to rise this beauty up in the shoe

That UF football team was mean, man. They were hungry so I give them a ton of credit. OSU was fat and lazy. The basketball title wasn’t a surprise. Florida was returning every starter from the season before and OSU had very good freshmen but the outside shooters were not very good. Final fours are what basketball teams are remembered for anyways. The football team flat out quit and that was on Tressel

Yep, he underthrew that pass by a few yards. It would have been a very difficult pass to complete but he compounded it by throwing it to the inside, where it was easier for the defender to pick it off. If he throws it towards the sideline, it’s incomplete and they live for another play.

That’s too simplistic of an answer. There are millionaires all over from every university. It becomes a question of the big donors if the juice is worth the squeeze. I don’t know enough about Bama’s and Auburn’s collective to say either way.

Well I think angry American is a better title for what millions of people are dealing with. Not just politics but the loss of civility and the ability for people to put things into perspective. And yeah, this class should be available because at least someone is addressing the disenfranchised working class plight of middle America. Liberals tired of losing elections? Maybe they should start to see the other side and understand

I think Mario is a good coach but you see the knuckleheads from Miami even to this day. Undisciplined and ill timed penalties. Cignetti would go nuclear on a player for some of that stuff. He is cut from the same cloth as Saban. Mario is too, but it’s hard to take “Miami” out of all his players

Big 10 expanded nationally. SEC expanded regionally.
I gotta defend the SEC on this one point. The South is part of the SEC. So logically you’d like to have the members be from that part of the country. The B1G didn’t really have a regional foundation in its name so it wasn’t tethered to just the Midwest. The SEC schools take a lot more pride in their football teams. I don’t think that’s even debatable. Most elite players still come from FLA, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas etc. In the north only the state of Ohio has even a decent amount of blue chip recruits but even that is nowhere near what it used to be. The portal can be reined in a bit. But NIL is what initiated southern kids going all over the country and vice versa

only five are getting through this two-week period with limited scholarship departures: Texas A&M (11), Clemson (12), Georgia (14), Notre Dame (15) and Miami (eight so far).

But Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, USC and Tennessee all had more than 20 scholarship players hit the portal in January.
Southern Cal until recently had the number one recruiting class. OSU lost three guys they really wanted to develop more but they also added a better haul than most people who follow the team thought they would get. As far as my opinion, I thought one of their best portal adds was the big 6’5” 235 lb QB who is a dual threat and is a fifth year senior. Justin Martin from North Carolina. Someone needs to push Sayin because he has no wheels whatsoever. They also got some pretty good wideouts. Big losses are two DBs who went to Oregon.

can't believe sports fans actually oppose a 9-game conference schedule.
The Big ten has been doing this for years but it’s a mixed bag. No fans in Columbus wanna see that 9th game being Purdue or Northewestern or Maryland. But it does keep more money within the conference. As a fan of CFB, I’d much rather watch OOC games like Texas or UGA or Bama

Some underground reports were suggesting that Michigan paid north of 50 million dollars to not get that title stripped. Not every school is going to pony up that kind of money to be able to keep a championship. And I agree. They should have had that taken. frick Michigan

Nine game conference schedule sucks for all conferences. As an OSU fan I’d like to see more games against Bama and Georgia and Texas and LSU. Even though the Buckeyes don’t have a great history against some of those teams. The Georgia-OSU game in 2022 was an awesome game. But even that one came in the postseason
