Back when I was in HS (the stone ages of the '80s), there was an elective course called Business Math or Math for Daily Living which focused on the basics: balancing a checkbook (which nobody really does anymore), figuring interest, credits and debits, budgets, etc.
It helped me farther down the line when I was responsible for P & L lines (controllable / non-controllable expenses), inventory and what-not. It would be great to have that back again, maybe even as standard curriculum.

Rhymes with "tits so fine".
Again, if the listing specifically says “no large groups” or “no parties”, then don’t book the property. If you book claiming a few guests and show up with a dozen, that’s a problem, and a violation of the rental agreement. A dozen potentially drunk college kids just adds to the problem.
[quote]having a drink[/quote
That’s probably not an issue. 10-12 drunk people is something different and could be against the house rules if the owner sees fit. Their property, their rules. If the Chi-O’s are disregarding the rules, they’re gone. I don’t know if this is exactly the case, I’m just speculating. What is so difficult to understand about breaking rules?
It’s not uncommon for Airbnb’s to have cameras on the property, but not indoors. If the owner has a “no partying” rule, it’s generally spelled out in the property description, as is the camera policy. If they read that and disregarded the policy, then they should be evicted.

I thank God every day I don't have to drive on I-12

We make that drive quite often now that my daughter and son-in-law moved from BR to Covington. Last weekend was a complete shiteshow, and that was before the fire.
Frickers were just about swapping paint once you hit the 3-lane.

We did Austin and San Antonio a few years back and just got back from Charleston and Savannah (few days each). Enjoyed Savannah so much that we booked another trip next year. Any of these would be a good choice.
At St. Jude as we speak! 4th car in line. :nana:
Once Billie Joe sniffed a bit of fame, he turned into a raving prick.
One Dog...Danny Hutton is all that's left, and he's 83.
I had 2 weeks off for Christmas and New Year’s. I leave this Wednesday morning for 2 weeks vacation in Charleston and Savannah, and I have zero stress about taking it. Set your damn outgoing email message and update the message on your phone. It’s my time, and I fricking earned it.
My Dad is the singular reason that I am the person I am today.

He had it kinda tough growing up. His brother, who he was very close with, died at 19 in Korea in '51.

His Dad was a diesel mechanic who quit school in the 4th grade to work in a foundry. Pops was a jock growing up, which was something my grandfather didn't understand. Thought it was a waste of time, and never saw any of his games. My grandmother always went though.

My grandfather died when I was 4, so at 26, with a family of his own, my Dad became the head of his family (my grandmother and 3 sisters, one of whom was already widowed).

He was really the glue that held my family together, and it wasn't until after he died in 2005 that my sister and I realized how much he had to deal with, especially with my Mom, who wasn't the most stable person in the world.

He taught me to always put family first, work hard and to be generous. I inherited his undying sense of optimism. His mantra was "always keep a good thought". Simple, but effective. I love him more than words can express.

Unfortunately I never really got to tell him how much he meant to me. He passed in 2005 in Metairie. Had a massive heart attack in a parking lot. He was by himself. I was in Prairieville at the time. Had seen him a few weeks before. Gave him a hug and a kiss and told him I loved him.
According to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library website, that is Nancy Reagan's grandmother, Sarah Luckett, not Nancy herself.
Driving - BMW Z3 ca. 2000 on River Rd.in BR. Hit about 110 before backing off.
Riding - '76 Gran Torino. Drove from Metairie to Hammond in about 30 minutes.

That's a name I've not heard for a loooong time. Let's throw in Tuffy Rhodes for old-times sake!

Solars are not usually the greatest choice. Is there any way you could go the low-voltage route?
