When I was first getting started, I had a pair of these Audio Engine powered bookshelf speakers. They were fantastic for what they were, I would even bring em out under the carport at times for crawfish boils, etc. Nice detail I thought for smaller speakers. They also make a lesser model if you want to look into that one also.

This was over 10 years ago, I’m sure there’s way more choices to go with, I’m only speaking from experience. I wish I still had em…

Audio Engine A5+

AP Atlantic 75 Series

I don’t do many 45’s, but I’ve never heard this album sound this good. And I love this album…

Trying to get back in the game but I can’t seem to post pics anymore from Imgur. What are you guys using nowadays?

I am. The Khartago has all the upgrades Klaus was offering on it. Been very pleased with it.

The Sonetto 3’s sound better with my Peachtree GaN 400 power amp. (Class D)

Thanks for the feedback, beautiful speakers too by the way…

What’s your experience with the two brands?

The Focals were just a tad bit big and boomy for my room I think.
The Sonus Faber’s have a nice detailed mid range but it’s almost like they’re too polite. Like a blanket is over my speakers.
The Dali’s lift that veil and shine & sparkle in a good way. The music is more lively, snare drums really pop, bigger soundstage…

Yeah I’ve been a little upset with my system lately, trying to get back to just enjoying the music.

Twice I’ve attempted to upgrade my speakers (Focal Aria 948 & Sonus Faber Sonetto 3’s) and both times I ended up coming back to my $2000 Dali’s.

Please make it make sense…

It’s a “special” release but not exclusive to TP society members. Similar to the Sonny Rollins live album.

Bri, how does it sound? Can’t say I’m a big fan…

I was at that Shanahans show also, man I miss seeing them in small venues like that. Their energy was unreal at that time. Chino still had his dreads. Got to hang out on their tour bus afterwards for a bit with all four guys. Even got my Adrenaline CD signed, great times…

Man this new record is killer. Amazing that they’re still putting out quality stuff 30 yrs later. My vinyl copy will be arriving soon, it may not leave the turntable all weekend…

One listen through and I love it, but I’m a huge fan from the very beginning. You can tell the guys were focused & locked in on this one. Some of the guitar tones are downright filthy. Abe is killing it as usual and Chino sounds incredible. Top tier Deftones record…

This Bluesville Acoustic Sounds series is really good. The mastering is fantastic!

I’m starting to really like it now. I’m the biggest Dax fan but this one took a little longer to digest for me. Sounds great on good speakers I must say, and he still can sing his arse off!
Got some new records and a new cart to help me ride out this snowstorm. Stay safe all my South Louisiana friends…
