Agree. It's a different area. Ive read much about it's because Bama/Saban can't buy players.
Saban was a great recruiter and could develop players or "process" them out.
The tables turned. The players have family and agents looking for the most money.
Anyone that thinks Bama was the richest school paying players are not familiar why the "SabanRule" was put in place.
Bama has been thru this before. We're lucky a coach like DeBoer took the challenge. Time will tell.

Gotta respect his self confidence. He has the tools. Otherwise Miami wouldn't have offered almost 7 million for him.

Maybe he wants to compete another year, rather than sit on an NFL bench.
Who knows. His dad is a coach. He could probably tear it up at the right G5 school.

They should have players in the xfer step up to the podium. Coaches get drunk and bid on each one. Even if they don't drink it would still be funny to see.

It's crazy. Hollywood was enrolled and taking classes one day.....the next - He's gone. Portal and transfers are craziest shite ever.
It's good for players to get a piece of the pie but you'd think it'd be "yes I'm playing for you guys and like my NIL" then the next day he's gone.
Bama is having a hard time with the portal, but I don't think we are the only ones.

If he can get that much, and play for a team with a running game and good protection......well it could be a hard choice.
It's still a poor QB class for the nfl draft. I hope he does great no matter what or where he goes.

He was and is a great young QB.
Once it was obvious Bama had no running game at all, ty looked worse than he is/was. He also got the run blitz quite often, without the worry of a teal run threat.
People blame DeBore but our big fat linemen could do ok with Normal pass protection....but soon everyone knew we had no run game and that made a big difference.

Marcell Dareus played 1 very good year then went pro. Saban told him to get it.
No need to play more years in collage. It wasn't because we could throw money at him the NFL couldn't.
