re: who will be the first SEC coach to move to a new coaching job?
Posted by CertifiedTigah on 10/27/15 at 11:21 am to SouthernInsanity
By leaving voluntarily or by getting fired?
voluntarily I think you see a Bama coach go first. Kirby would be my first guess but Lane Kiffin is due to screw up another program soon.

I live in Metairie unfortunately for the time being. 8 months ago I was at the Rum House on Magazine when my wife called me and said there was a man wondering around our back yard looking in the windows. Our back yard is gated and so is our neighbors. You cant get in there on accident.
I had her lock herself in the bedroom with my pistol and call the police. I could hear the dog going nuts so I hailed a cab and paid him $100 bucks to get there as fast as possible.
I BEAT THE COPS TO MY HOUSE IN A CAB ALL THE WAY FROM MAGAZINE. I dont trust law enforcement around here at all anymore.
Dog must have scared the guy off but it was a real eye opener to find foot prints in my garden in the back yard from this guy.

Bama's front 7 is a monster task for LSU's OL. I think they will do well but as stated probably 15 times already in this thread, its going to be a slugfest. I actually think Henry out-rushes Fournette because Bama is going to be keying on him the whole game. I dont think you see one of Fournettes huge runs for this game. That being said that man always falls forward and keeps us ahead of the chains for the most part.
This game will be won on 3rd downs and turnovers. Who ever can keep the down and distance short and protects the ball wins.
Cant wait.

Jesus. How can you even think about football first in that situation? Taking the whole "fan" thing a little too far when you hope a dying teenager is too sick to have an opportunity like that before he passes away.

re: Alabama's Secondary Sucks - PFF
Posted by CertifiedTigah on 10/20/15 at 2:10 pm to Spread
Op. To be clear Bama's secondary doesn't suck. Its just not as good as it has been.
Your teams strong point is its front 7, which I dont think anyone will argue with. Doesn't that leave your secondary as your defensive weakness?
Your defense is better than Florida's but their secondary is one of the most talented in the country. We had no trouble passing on them when we wanted to. I dont see why you guys think that we wont be able to move the ball on you effectively enough to make it a competitive game.
FWIW I think the Turnover margin is going to be what wins this game. We have been protecting the ball better. I hope we do the same against you. Its going to be close.
Enjoy it.

re: If Florida wins a game against a top 10 team on the road without their qb
Posted by CertifiedTigah on 10/16/15 at 2:53 pm to Old Sarge
IF Florida comes into Baton Rouge and beats LSU badly with a back up QB, then yes you could consider LSU overrated. But whether LSU wins by 3 or by 20 at home against another back up QB, you're going to consider us overrated. And the wheel keeps on spinning.
Florida is a good team with a lot of talent. Why should we not be confident with their starting QB out and playing at night in Death Valley? I would have called these teams even thus far in the season with the home field advantage going to LSU. Then they lost the most important player on their team.

I think the idea of this thread was to add a player to your team that makes your team better. For UGA fans why would it make sense to add LF? They have a very good RB already.
For LSU it would be Dak that would make our team better RIGHT NOW.
Lets not make this another Chubb/LF thread cause those are getting pretty old at this point.

That would be devastating to me personally. All any parent wants is for their children to have a happy, normal, long life. It would hurt but I would have to support my son. That doesn't mean that I would have to be happy about the situation, but I would make every effort to give him the love and support that my parents gave me.
Does that answer your question?

It's so funny how the people most against homosexuality, can't stop thinking about sexual acts between men.
I'm a Conservative and a Catholic. I could care less what gays do or don't do behind closed doors. Let them get married. My problem comes when many gay people, not all, feel like they need to display their homosexuality or throw it in everyone's face. "I'm Gay and I'm proud of it!".
Even more infuriating is when small business owners (lets use the bakery incident) have the right to refuse business to anyone, for any reason. And in supporting their own beliefs, politely refuse to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding, and then are attacked by the national media and sued. That is atrocious to me.
By all means, get married. But everyone in this country should have the right to stand by their own morals, not someone else's. By all means, shovel your shite to anyone who will listen OP. But don't tell me that I'm retarded for standing by my beliefs.

We are strongly considering doing this for about six months while we figure out the area and where we want to end up. only issue is that we have a 1yo black lab that is obviously pretty active but well behaved so we need some space nearby to stretch her legs.
Any idea what some good places are in that area?

What about building a little further out from the burbs? Or should I just concede the fact that I'm gonna be poor up there?

We are both very active. We like to hike, fish, kayak, and ski. That's why I was leaning towards the west side. Neither of us mind a drive to work under an hour.
Is there a better area around Denver to have all of that within a reasonable drive?

The wife (no pics) and I are going to be moving to the Denver area in about 6 months. We are looking for a nice area to live on the west side of Denver. Cost of living up there is pretty high but we are trying to find housing, or build a home in the area of $250-$300k.
Does anyone know the area well enough to advise on some good places to consider for a couple in their late 20's with no kids.

Passport Escort. This is the one I have.

Are they worth owning?
I bought it years ago and only use it now for long highway drives. I usually stay around 80-83 mph so its nice to have a heads up. It works fantastic I usually can get an idea of where they are from up to a mile away.
quote:
Do you feel you can haul arse and never get caught?
If you are doing this you are going to get caught eventually. Cops don't always have their radar guns turned on so they and just scan the one person they want to get and by the time you get the warning they already have you.
Cops in certain areas also use a new type of radar called "pop" radar. Basically it shoots one blast of radar at your car and most radar detectors cant pick it up. IF it does pick it up you have roughly 2 seconds to get down to the right speed.
In the end, I don't think it is worth it to be honest with you. Too much money if you are just a normal everyday driver. If you are the guy "hauling arse", just stop it that shite is annoying.

8 of my buddies and I made the drive from Baton Rouge to Jackson Hole Wyoming for a 7 day snowboarding trip. The stretch from Cheyenne Wyoming through the Grand Tetons to Jackson Hole was incredible. It was a 2,000 mi. trip and the second car spun out on black ice 2 miles from the house.
