Appeared that training staff approached him after while he was sitting on the bench. They were waived off with no further evaluation that I could see. I’m sure he’s fine.

Coach O is the best coach in CFB, and here's why

I'll preface this by posing a rhetorical question to all of you simple minded fools who dismiss O: What in the hell do you think the head coach's job really is?

Head coach has two main functions for on-field success:

(1) Recruit: check
(2) hire a good staff: check

Many of you retreat to the narrative that Brady won this title, not O. Does Nick/Dabo/Kirby call Xs and Os on offense? Regardless, every head coach has either an offensive or defensive background in which case he relies on another (either OC or DC) to get his team halfway there.

O identified and hired a great young coach while completely revamping his offense, overnight. Why didn't Saban or Kirby hire Brady. Why did Kirby continue to run a Les Miles offense? BTW, Saban brought in Brady to run a clinic for his guys after the season, having clearly identified a need for his knowledge. Would have come in handy 9 months earlier no?

Lets talk game management: one of the biggest knocks against Les was his game management. You can't point to many gaffs by O in the last three seasons. How about 3rd and 17? You want to say that Brady called the play that beat Texas, but it was O who cut his guys loose to execute. He didn't hamstring them and tell them to run/punt/play D. Do you think Kirby would have done that? Not likely.

Lets talk Ole Miss: for those of you have have had the good fortune of working in the same industry for 10/15/20 years, are you not better, wiser, and more knowledgeable than you were when you first started? It appears O is.

The question we should be asking is whether Dare is better than Deculus. If either he or Charles can play the right side, that is what I would like to see. Then we have Hines or potentially Deculus able to play LG. I've never played OL, so I'm sure I am over simplifying the intricacies of switching from T to G and left to right, but I hope that if Dare continues to come, we can shift some things around to get our best 5 on the field.

Say what you want about the merits of drug use and testing in general, and LSU's polices specifically, but if this really is him failing a weed test, and multiple at that, then he is either dumb as frick or extremely undisciplined. Either way, good luck going pro homeboy. Pro chances aren't too good for marginal players who have those kinds of deficiencies.

Sallee is a little bitch, to be sure, but remember, he called it straight about LSU pre 2016. Everyone, even Pawl, was touting LSU as a contender, and rightfully so. Sallee predicted 3/4 losses b/c of QB, and we all see how that season turned out.

To be quite frank, I doubt most LSU alum expect it to be Woodward. Why would he leave aTm to go work for F. King alexander and this crazy arse BOS? Alma mater notwithstanding, no one wants to work in that political cesspool. Until there are changes all the way up the chain, I don't expect to see a strong national hire.

I thought I heard on AFR that Wade's camp was going to meet w/ some combination of Aleva/King/BOS members last week, but the meeting was killed by LSU compliance who wanted to attend and have the NCAA attend. First of all, is that accurate? Second, if so, is King and the Board beholden to the compliance department? Do they have that much clout?
