Where to stop on the way to Fredericksburg Tx
Posted by DLP7637 on 4/2/25 at 11:53 am
I have a hunting trip near Fredericksburg this month, looking for a nice place to spend the night along the way. Did this trip 2 years ago and stopped in New Braunfels and visited Gruene. It was very fun. Looking for somewhere else this time. Any suggestions?

I have a hunt booked in Fredericksburg with an arrival time on a Sunday afternoon. Will be driving from Mandeville area on Saturday around noon. I am looking for a place to stay with the wife overnight on Saturday. Would like somewhere about 3 hours or so from Fredericksburg. Not really fond of Houston which would be the obvious choice. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have two one day park hopper passes to Disneyland for sale. They are adult tickets. I need to sell them. I will sell at a significant discount, my cost was $388. If anyone is going to the UCLA game wants a pair of Disneyland tickets I can transfer them to you. Asking $300.

Four of us are making the trip to LA for the game. We will fly in on Thursday and fly out on Monday. Looking for suggestions on where to stay. Probably going to make a side trip to visit the redwoods and a few others sites. Appreciate any help.
Spectrum wireless. Thoughts opinions
Posted by DLP7637 on 2/1/21 at 12:12 pm
Thinking of switching from ATT wireless, looking for opinions on Spectrum wireless. Have them for internet have been solid but price has gone up twice since I started with them. Might be able to save a few bucks by bundling the two.
Tirebuyer.com experiences

I need new tires for my truck and have been looking at some nitto ridge grappler 33 12.5 20. Tirebuyer.com has the best price I have found. They wil ship them to my local pep boys for installation.. Not a fan of pep boys. Anyone have any experience buying from tire buyer.com
I seem to remember a certain Atlanta team that gave upon on a QB named Favre after one season. Rumors of being a wild man and would never make it in the league despite his talent. Worked out pretty well for Green Bay don't you think.
Actually just booked an Alaskan trip this past Monday. We are flying in to Anchorage taking the train to Denali for 3 days then back to Anchorage. Taking train from there to Seward and cruising from there to Vancouver. Booked everything through Holland America. Stops in Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, also going through Glacier Bay. Taking inside passage to Vancouver. Price for everything including airfare to Anchorage, and from Vancouver, all rooms on land, transfers and taxes was $5800. All I have to pay for is food on land and excursions from ship. I researched a lot and it was a little more than if I piece mealed it together myself but piece of mind that everything was set up for me was worth a couple hundred bucks. We through a travel agent and prices were better than straight internet especially on air fair. Good luck should be a great trip for you.
Thanks. Lots of good advice here. Guess I should not worry about saving a few bucks. Already have an Alaska trip booked for June was trying to squeeze in a Boston trip in April and catch a few Red Sox games for as cheap as possible. Have been to Boston quite a few times but usually do a Package deal.
Going to Boston. Planning. On 4/23 thru 4/27 or 4/28. Two of us traveling together.

San Francisco hotel recommendations
Posted by DLP7637 on 1/5/19 at 3:32 pm
Will be in San Francisco late May early June for 3 or 4 nights looking for suggestions. Thinking of the Union Square area or Fisherman’s Warf area. Have heard about a lot of homeless people around Union Square. Would like to stay in the $300-350 per night range. We are driving in so when you add the crazy parking fee and the resort fee of most of these places your limited. Have looked into the Lodge at Prersidio which seems awesome with the views and facilities. Kind of secluded but have a shuttle to downtown. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Went to Petra about 20 years ago while in the military. Was an awesome place but it's in the middle of nowhere and even then it was prostituted out like crap. So sad to to see people selling your name made in a bottle of sand and selling camel rides. Hate to think how bad it is now.
San Diego or San Francisco
Posted by DLP7637 on 12/30/18 at 11:54 pm
Planning a 30th anniversary trip to either San Diego or San Francisco. Going to fly in and rent a car to make a side trip to Kings Canyon and Seqouia National Park. I have a cool looking bed and breakfast booked for a couple of nights there. Leaving late May from Houston, driving over to catch a Red Sox Astro's game first, staying 7 days total in Cal. Any suggestions and or recommendations? Thank you.
