the other night I had the displeasure of being treated to the Ole Miss delicacy of cold chicken strips and cheap whiskey. that thread was met with some animosity. confusion. and some approval. tonight though I feel like a hog fan. with single barrell bourbon and steak, with twice baked potatos, ribs,and Cajun shrimp. woo pig mother frickers!!

freeze was there during the orgeron days and they got hit for cheating. I'm sure he wasn't talking about this, but maybe he was.

you cannot judge him for atleast 3 years. 3 years from now you will know if he is headed in the right direction. he has stepped into a really tough job and if he doesn't elevate himself as a head coach he will fail there. if he has learned from his past mistakes, we won't know for 3 years when his guys are the upper classmen

no offense to scar or muschamp, but he is going to lose alot over the next 2 years. it's that big of a rebuild. I just endured one. patience is key.

to add onto what I said earlier, it will probably take like 4-5 years to fix this at scar. when you don't recruit top 10 classes, you have to redshirt and develop to make yourself a powerful program and that takes time. unfortunately I don't believe muschamp will redshirt many as there isn't enough talent to keep the new guys coming in off the field.

it's going to look alot like Arkansas when bret took over, except bret is a better coach.

well he did evaluate and recruit well 3-4 years prior. he was winning. usually when you are winning recruiting becomes easier. everyone knew he was old, but I'm not sure if everyone expected the effects to happen as soon as they did. I think they expected to get a year or 2 more out of him (not term wise, but positive recruiting wise)

before he ever made the I got a couple more years in me statement his recruiting was slipping. I'm not sure if anyone else could have won like him. I'll say from arkansas's perspective that it was similar to petrino in a way. dude won alot of games for 2 years and then we was so devoid of talent the years after because of recruiting that I'm not sure it was worth it. yes all the winning is great, but I'm not sure any of that matters now. I don't think those big seasons matter now for SCAR either. it wasn't that long ago, but it might as well have been a decade ago to these kids.
