We had an exchange student when I was growing up from Cyprus. I had the opportunity to spend a summer there when I was a teenager with his family. There is a lot of history in Cyprus when it comes to Israel, UK, Turkey, and others in that region. The Turks invaded Cyprus in the early 1970’s and took the northern half of the island. The Greek Cypriots were forcibly removed, and ended up living in refugee housing in the southern part of the island. They lost everything. When I was there in the 90’s you didn’t even speak about the Turks, or Muslims in general. BTW, all Cypriots spend a minimum of 2 years in the military. Great people, and I hope to return some day with my family to show what a wonderful place it is.
Assuming Massie loses in the rep. primaries where does he go. Will he be new “republican” on MS NOW?

I just assume any of these type of guys that just magically appear from nowhere are some sort of plant.
I mean, Mossad is pretty incredible at this type of stuff. You can love or hate Israel, but there’s no doubt the Mossad are some pretty bad hombres. I wouldn’t want to be on their list.
RFKJr has definitely grown on me. I would probably disagree with a lot of his social values, but I think he is an intelligent guy who has actually thought out his beliefs. I don’t understand why anyone is against what he is trying to do with food and drugs. He genuinely seems to care about improving these systems for future generations.
I have more faith in Ritchie doing this than others. The trailer looks pretty promising. I loved Young Sherlock Holmes growing up.

Mulkey has been doing this a lot of games this year with the post players. She has gone the other way a few times giving almost all minutes to Joyner and Koval. She liked what she was getting with the athleticism of Johnson and Knox.
I’ve listened to Bowie a few times and it’s clear he’s a pretty intelligent guy. I’d love to hear what he would have thought about AI. That would’ve been right in his wheelhouse.
Somehow I feel like this pic will be used for years to come on this board.

She plays with attitude. If she can harness it, and use it the right way, she’s going to be outstanding.

I love what Z. Johnson is becoming. Morrow type play. She’s not there yet, but she constantly snags boards over taller players.
Black players can dislike all they want, but the league will become more white over the coming years. The emphasis placed on the 3 point shot has been somewhat of an equalizer for white players. It plays to the historic strengths of many white players who have to rely on ball handling and shooting accuracy over raw athleticism. Cooper Flagg is a unicorn and would flourish whether the 3’s had become more important or not.
I liked Paul Manieri, but it was clear he was done when he retired from LSU. If he had decided to go to a smaller school in south Florida I could have seen it. He is getting overwhelmed with what is needed to compete now.

There needs to be a lot of this going on. Having everything within 40 miles of DC is insane especially in a world where we can communicate with each other from almost anywhere. Having everything this close together allows for politicization of what should be nonpolitical positions. It would also be disastrous if the DC area was ever targeted with a nuke. Spreading out govt. offices to different parts of the country makes a lot of sense. Congress members should be operating 90% of the time out of their own state/congressional district as well.

He’s a 50 yo actor who has been in everything the last 5 years or so. He’s not married, and, unlike most of the straight 40-60 yo actors, he’s not seen with hot chicks 30 years younger than him. I’d say that tells you about all you need to know.

The problem that smooth brains can't factor is that nobody really "eats" anything. The tariffs either get paid by the consumer, or the employees who would otherwise get raises don't get them, or jobs that would otherwise be available don't exist, or the company becomes less profitable, which shows up in its stock value, etc., etc., etc.

This is true unfortunately. I’m in sales, but close friends with a couple of our owners. When we have to “eat” a 4-8% loss because of tariffs it has to come from somewhere. It causes hiring freezes, inability for expansion, bonus freezes, etc. That affects American jobs.

You can be a Trump supporter, but have issues with certain policies. The tariffs slowed our business last year without a doubt. If it shifts more manufacturing out of china it will be worth it.
Tariffs are paid by everyone along the line. For instance, if there is a new 25% tariff imposed, the manufacturer may eat 5% along with the company having it produced eating 5%. That would still lead to a 15% price increase to the end consumer. If there is a small enough tariff, 5-12%, you may see none of it passed to consumer, but just about anything larger than that will get passed on.
