I disagree. Its pretty egregious and inappropriate to randomly shite on other US Gold winning athletes for no reason. I think its weird that you seem to tie that banter with masculinity. Nothing about that moment suggests masculinity or patriotism.

Weird that your mind goes there. What they were supposed to do is just not mock the women's gold medal winning hockey team for no reason. Its really not expecting much. There was literally no reason at all for Trump to start randomly talking shite about the women's team, and while a few dudes did chant something like "2 for 2", most just laughed at it. Its a strange reaction. I get being caught up in the moment, celebrating your win and the president is on the phone but it also would have been super easy to respond with "We'd love for then to join us, they are champions and bad arse americans" . Trump would have agreed and played it off like he does and everyone would have walked away from it looking a lot better.
