Nicest: Jerry Jones. Took an assload of pictures and was really nice with everyone that approached him. He was also really drunk and with a couple hot 40 somethings so maybe that was why he was in a good mood.

Rude: Joe Gibbs

feel the same way about Texas-Texas A&M

Are the Steelers fricked tomorrow?

Vegas seems to think so (NE -7). Also, the defending super bowl champs are 9-2 in these games and one of those losses was when the Ravens had to play Denver on the road because of the issue with the Orioles.
Now we just need Carrie Underwood for the anthem. She was good luck last time.
Lew, could you replace the tottenham crest on the right with this USA crest instead please?

Van Horn better watch the hand placement. His ole lady watching him like a hawk

I've always wanted LSU to play Tulane and would be happy with a 3 for 1 with Tulane with the road game being played at the Superdome.

With the playoffs I think it matters to play Division 1-A schools over 1-AA schools.

Yeah I'm with you on that

If you go out on Broadway, Acme Feed and Seed is pretty cool. It has a second floor patio bar that overlooks the river. The Stage was fun too. Kinda packed, but the band was great and a cool atmosphere.

Ate at some pizza place near Vanderbilt (can't remember the name??) where you can see the guys tossing the dough and shite. It was really good. Also had a few good brunch spots right there walking distance from campus.

Took a cab to the Opry across the river one night. I was apprehensive but it was really fun. Think you'd enjoy it even if you're now a huge country fan.

Well yeah it's Tulane. The school turned its back on a once good fan base

This and the fact that it kicked at 830 on a Thursday
Only logical reason is to save some money by doing a 2 for 1 instead of paying them to come to Stillwater. Still not worth scheduling a trap game tho IMO.
Can someone make me a sig with these three emblems on some sort of LSU themed background?

What the frick does any of that have to do with Riley?
Trying to pick between Shania and Carrie gives me a headache so i'll just say both.

Also would like to throw in...

Well I(and many others) can tell you that this is BS as far as the NBA is concerned even just by last season.

I guess what i should have said is that regular season games in those sports just don't really do it for me.

So does BYU and Army have to join a conference also?

Meh, i think another layer of this argument is that the P5 will eventually break off. The other 5 conferences kind of get shite on with the current set up and eventually it seems like they'll want a chance to play for something more than just one little bid to a major bowl.

But what if the conference wants to send regular season winner over CG winner or not have a CG?

I would think if there were ever a format change like the one I mentioned then the conferences would have to agree on it one way or the other beforehand.

My main point was that I agree that conference champions should have a seat at the table.

There are only 4 major sport leagues here in the U.S., and soccer isn't one of them so shouldn't even be in the discussion.

He didn't say here in the us. and hockey lol

Yeah didn't necessarily mean US only. MLS obviously isn't there yet but for a league that's barely 20 years old they aren't doing so bad.

So why should the Independents not get an auto bid, why must you be in a conference to earn an auto bid?

Also what if Notre Dame sweeps all the ACC teams on it's schedule does it go in as the ACC Champ or At large? Then the ACC has 2 teams it can call champion.

Should have added that. ND should have to join a conference to be eligible in my opinion.

Who determines who is the champion of the league? The winner of CG or the winner in regular season?

What if there is a year when multiple teams are upset in the CCG and the teams with best records and best schedules are left out?

CG winner. If there are upsets than it is what it is. Same as any other sport. Like i said it would add importance to those games. IMO if you don't win your conference then you don't really have a foot to stand on as far as complaining about being left out.

but can't get into regular season

This is my issue with Basketball/Baseball/Hockey. With so many regular season games it feels like you never have a big game atmosphere until the playoffs.
quote:

It's mythical until every conference champion is in the playoffs

6 team playoff:

ACC champ
BIG Champ
PAC Champ
Big 12 Champ (need to add a championship game)
SEC Champ
At Large

Would put a premium on winning the conference championship games so as to not be fighting for the one at large spot.

I would also stipulate that the at large team doesn't necessarily have to be the 6 seed but can't be top 2 and get a bye.

Rank the 5 Major Team Sports

How would you rank the 5 major team sports in order of your fandom or general interests in them? Not meant to be a which one is "better" pissing match. Just wondering what people's personal preferences are. For the sake of this topic only talking about pro sports. For me...

1. Football - grew up in South LA, pretty easy one.
2. Soccer - no favorite club team but I love the college football type atmosphere and the constant flow of the game (and lack of 100 commercials during it)
3. Basketball - slight edge over baseball just because of the Pels
4. Baseball - just don't have a particular rooting interest.
5. Hockey - nothing against it just never watched much of it.

Bama. Hate the fans, hate the preferential treatment, respect the team.

Don't necessarily hate USC, but if i could pick any team to beat in a championship game it would be them.

This. Walked around outside TS for 09 Florida game when they were #1 and couldn't find anything under 300.
Been to B&R twice and the service really was crap. Shame, because the food was actually pretty good.

Looking forward to trying out Willie's
