Hospital balls is not a new term.
At one point in football nobody threw across the middle because of guys like Steve Atwater. Every pass to a deep crossing route was a hospital ball.

LSU will be running a system with dual threat QB’s. More contact. More potential for injury. We need two potential starters to battle it out. We need a third - developmental QB who is young and serviceable. We need a HS recruit to also develop.
Without an established starter you need more than one potential starter.

Ole Miss’s tight end single handedly beat LSU this year. Treydez would factor hugely in LSU’s scheme next year. When he’s in the open field first guy almost never gets him down. What am I missing here.

The non traditional powers i.e. Vandy and IU are only signing those guys through the portal. Better to have 25 year olds than 18 year olds in some of those positions.

Ruston 90 was super impressive in person. Best looking HS team I’ve ever seen in person by a mile.
