Katie George deserves a mention

He won’t make that his entire NFL career

Even if he’s an early second round pick, he’d get more than that in guaranteed money.

Patriots and Niners having more than the Bengals wasn't exactly what I expected.

Outside of Belichick, the longest tenure was done by Chuck Fairbanks and Raymond Berry, each lasted six seasons. Nine head coaches since 1969 have lasted three seasons or fewer.

Dec 6th NO CCG. Move up Army/Navy Heisman/other awards to that weekend Dec 13th - Round of 16 Dec 20th - Round of 8 NYD - Quarters Jan 8th- Title Game

Better yet, start the season a week earlier in August. That guarantees two bye weeks during the season. The regular season wraps up the week before thanksgiving. Army/Navy is played the Saturday after thanksgiving, that way they still get a standalone time slot. Eliminate the conference title games. Start the playoff the first Saturday in December. That way, the title game could be held on New Year’s night.

Friday the 9th

Friday is the worst TV night in America, so they’d never do it on a Friday. But you’re right, if they would just move the start of the season up a week, they could play the championship game much earlier. Honestly, if they just eliminated the conference title games, they could play the title game on New Year’s night.
It depends on the fan. I honestly never had a huge issue with him leaving. I didn’t like it, but I understood it, he loved USC, and they doubled his salary in the process. I didn’t particularly like how he handled things immediately after his departure, but oh well.

There are a lot of people who still have a level of disdain for him that’s hard to describe. They view everything that happened between 2010 and 2020 as a direct consequence of his departure. I don’t. It’s not his fault that multiple ADs botched coaching searches after he left. So, I think a large part of the fan base still despises him, but it’s been 16 years, so I honestly don’t particularly care.

The Indy story was great but this chit changed everything.

What changed? He announced that he was going to Indiana before the semifinals were even played.

Isiah Thomas with the Knicks. Could also throw in Phil Jackson’s time there as well.

Dumping devers for crap bc you mismanaged the bregman signing is piss poor front office management

The only piss poor front office management was giving Devers that absurd contract in the first place.

Had no idea that Captain Jack was so highly regarded - wasnt he like a 3rd round pick?

If you’re referring to Campbell, no, he was a first round pick. Although, the Lions were mocked endlessly for taking him in the first round.
