I would expect a fan of a basketball school like Indiana to think such.

Stupid.

You realize nobody believes IU is that good but only trolling right?

The dudes I heard discussing weren't trolling. Or at least thought it was worth debate. Which is stupid.

Listed in order. Nice

Not in order. For sure would put 2018 Clemson above 2017 Bama. So I wasn't really thinking of how good each team is, but I would have LSU 2019 number one.
These champions decidedly better IMO:

2019 LSU
2020 Bama
2021 UGA
2022 UGA
2017 Bama
2018 Clemson
2023 Michigan

that they'll come back and win this game.

Every look on the sidelines says "I believe in you".
Didn't know Sark and Holly have a kid.

Flattered you noticed, sugar.

Took my son for a nice vacation as I won't see him for a month. He's not into stepmoms, and I'm not looking. Sorry.

Look who decided to rejoin the land of the living.

Averaged almost a dozen threads started per day then disappeared like a fart in the wind once Georgia lost to Ole Miss.

No threads started for almost a week until now. Hell, only three since the loss.

PS, honey: Have posted in other threads a good bit. Particularly about the overreaction to Indiana and Cignetti.

I’m going 10-2. Loss to Ole Miss most likely because that will be a Super Bowl for Ole Miss.

First year, y'all will be storming the field.

Something we haven't seen in some time. Have to go back ages for a first year coach at LSU to cause such celebration.

LA Raiders- fired
Tennessee- 7-6 and ended on a downer
USC- fired and left on the tarmac (Arguably better situation than LSU. Recruiting still among top five, little competition)

Don’t be dumb.
Lanning only has two CFP appearances. Kirby only has 5.
You can also argue that Lane has been a major league disappointment af every major job he's taken aside from Ole Miss.

Maybe it's just me, but the fact he seems to care about social media as much as a high school cheerleader would make me worry. No doubt, an offensive genius. But will he miss some small details due to not being entirely focused on football. Whatever he is, he's not obsessed the way Saban was and Kirby is.

Not even close.

Herb Brooks was very good coach. But Saban won 7 titles. Saying someone that hasn't even finished the drill yet is better is just stupid.

Of course what Cignetti has done at Indy is more impressive than what Saban did at Michigan State.

Cignetti has had 11 tries to win a championship at a lower level and didn't do it.

The idea that Cignetti could coach a program like Alabama and he would win 8 in 15 years is stupid too.

This is akin to saying Herb Brooks is the greatest hockey coach ever.

Anything could happen but it looks like he's about to win one next week.

The Bama win was a dominant win against a team that was dominated by another team just weeks before. Bama was nothing special this year and they ended up really living off of the Georgia win in Athens when it was all said and done.

The Oregon game was a negative turnover game like I said and any good team should win that game going away with a turnover ratio like that.

Yards per play, total yardage, etc., it wasn't overwhelming.

Miami is gonna be a much tougher test than a lot of you think.

You played two teams with a real pulse in the regular season and those games went down to the wire and needed some luck to win them. If there's one thing I know about this sport is people go completely crazy with recency bias.

Not saying it's pure luck, but portal evals are not a 100% lock no matter how good you are at it. I'd say he probably has had a better run at it than he will in the future.

Can he elevate IU's high school recruiting to top ten? If he can do that, I'd change my mind. Think he'd have a good chance to win multiple if he were at a top ten high school recruiting school.

Cignetti has won everywhere he's been, but he's never won a championship and coached in Div. II and FCS for over a decade.

and a top 5 coach in the nil era

Cignetti greater than Cristobal by a lot to me.

But we've seen coaches like Cristobal go on a one year run and then not be able to repeat it again.

I think Cignetti will always have IU in very good shape in terms of being a winner, but i also wouldn't be shocked if this is his only real shot at winning it all.

If I were betting, I'd bet neither of these guys win a title after this game.

Well our head coach isn’t named Ed Orgeron or Brian Kelly anymore so…

There’s your answer.

The new head coach is always better than the old one until he ain't.

There was no getting around it year 1 unfortunately.

But Lane signed the best DL class in school history and the #1 recruit. So LSU is well on its way.

If LSU were an Arkansas or Miss State or something I'd get it. But ever since 2019, you guys have talked a big off season game and not delivered.

I'd be excited around your own fanbase and take a more tempered wait and see approach over here. I guess some of you don't mind the crow buffet you've been munching on for the past half decade over here.
I thought the whole reason Lane portaled to LSU is so he wouldn't have to slaughter the portal.
