i was at the game myself. i also sat through a rain delay that was similar in 2003 with the season opener against ulm. about a third of the crowd stayed in the rain during the delay (myself included), and when it was time for the game, it was at full capacity. i think the fact that it was west virginia and on espn had something to do with it. i would think it might have been different if it were ball state. either way, it still wasn't that loud. i have yet to go to tiger stadium this year, but i expect the noise to be better in baton rouge - or at least i would expect it to be.

i think that's what i was trying to convey, but must have not been successful. i stopped on campus at auburn today and saw many girls that looked much better than erin andrews - better faces and bodies. you throw them out on the field and on tv (perhaps through a keyhole, too) and you'd be posting pictures and drooling over them as well. i guess it's in the eye of the beholder - and i have seen much better looking than andrews.

i guess i should have clarified that if i am going to take part in drooling over a celebrity, i'd prefer them to look good. go read all of my posts...

yes, i did see the video. i still think she's a butterface (although not to the extent of your pic) and the body in your pic is better than andrews. so because multiple people agree with you, it must be so?
perhaps i should lower my standards and join the crowd...

comparing andrews to that pic - you are right. however, andrews body doesn't match the one in your pic.....

if she doesn't, then i'd hate to see what you'd consider a butterface....

re: Erin Andrews

of course you can. andrews has a butterface....

re: Erin Andrews

sorry jb - i just prefer the ones without the butterface. jill arrington - much better looking than erin andrews.

tom288....

don't get me wrong, she's got a great body. i'm sure i would overlook it and not kick her out of bed.. but that grill isn't the best. if you think so, then you are the one that is blind.

Any Parents on Here?

Posted by ypeels on 7/24/09 at 7:56 pm
I just signed my 9-year old son up for the Mike's Kid's Club. He is has Autism, but is high functioning and loves mascots - Mike being his favorite, of course. Anyone have any experience with the club before?

By the way, we live in Auburn, so we'll be making long trips whenever something comes up. Of course we won't be in Baton Rouge all the time, just when there is a big event.

Any responses from parents who have participated in the events before is gladly appreciated.

Thanks & Geaux Tigers,
Michael

who gives a fr*ck what the pre-season poll concerning a team is? unless you are the uat and use every poll to claim every possible bogus claim there is, the only thing that should matter is the one at the end of the season....

curley didn't have the eye first.....

i know for a fact that it was there in 86 under arnsparger, as i saw it the first time i ever went to a game in tiger stadium.
I've never farked, nor know how to do it. I'm putting together a fundraiser for Autism Awareness, and was just curious if there was anyone out there who might put together something? It's going to be a low country boil, and the traditional logo for Autism is a puzzle piece......perhaps a puzzle piece with a shrimp coming out of it, or a boiling pot with various puzzle pieces coming out. If anyone is interested, please reply to me at mf_atkins@yahoo.com

Thanks for reading and for anyone willing to help.

Best,
Michael

re: I still miss Jamarcus

interesting. jamarcus russell was good physically, but not that smart. funny - a friend told me about him being in an all-star game in alabama.....we all like him because he won at lsu, but he was a dumbass - plain and simple. i, like others, was there yelling for him the times that he won for lsu and wondering why he was in there at other times (auburn). he was a beast to take down, but this guy wore a uat elephant around his ghetto neck later - way to represent. just because he wore the purple and gold, doesn't mean he's a great guy....see billy cannon.

saban visited many recruits by 'accident' - hence the new rule named for the prick.

"unlike yourself I graduated from LSU, and am considering getting my Ph.d from UA. Most of you SEC fans are delusinal. we are pretty much all the same."

ooh, ooh - can you tell me about my educational background and misspell a word in the process? sounds fun...

btw, congrats on considering the university of arizona for your doctorate. i hear the weather is nice out there......
a great observation....had there been a comparison.
went to the baseball game saturday. kudzu hill is a steep hill, rednecks just barely hanging on the steep to stay up... right field in front of some houses (rich's brick house and general beauragard's). 'tailgating' is 5 tents and a mediocre parking lot beyond the leftfield. we stayed at the hotel/conference center on campus and was very disappointed - not at all what we thought it should be. athens may have a great music history, but the overall 'campus' feel is sort of 'redneck.' very 'country' and not pleasant at all. however, i do have to say that the front desk lady was very nice and made up for what inconveniences that we had to endure. overall, athens is just a country town and not very pleasant. i say this of course with my best friend have being married on the campus (gardens) and all hopes that it would have been a good visit.

exactly what area will there be lsu tailgating? i'm bringing my son to the game saturday.....should be fun.

just curious..

Posted by ypeels on 12/29/08 at 11:06 pm
what race is chavis? it doesn't make a difference on what type of coach or person he is - i just can't honestly tell and was curious. kind of like bruce pearl....it's hard to tell. the only color that matters is purple and gold.....but i'm thinking, maybe latino?
previous directions were good. once you get on college, there will be an intersection of college/donahue. i'd say get in the left lane and go that way. at the intersection, there will be a strip mall to your left (bookstore/oyster bar/lasik/hairmasters), a kimrock flower nursery to your right, to your right across the street a kinukan's..... once you take a left on donahue, there is a laboratory building..think you can take that into the field and possibly park. the open areas are close to college - as you go back, it's filled with rv's. i spoke with someone there and they said that it is mostly rv's but noone should give us problems if we set up there. looks like it's a geaux.....

go to hell auburn,

rode by the proposed afla building next to research road. filling up with rv's. the good thing is that it is right across the road from the auburn oyster bar, and then loco's. i highly recommend the oyster bar. perhaps early friday...

jason, let me know once you get into town....

the thing about the biggio drive site is that i don't believe that it is accessible by vehicle. there will be a barricade there on biggio off of samford. however, i believe that if you get your equipment/tents/grills/etc. there before hand, it can be done.

coming from exit 51, you take a left toward town all the way to samford. take a left on samford and biggio will be on your right before you hit wire road.

i will inquire tomorrow and get official information as to what can be done there. i tailgated there a few years ago and it was great. few blocks from the stadium and a restroom facility nearby. lot of auburn fans walking past, so you can give 'em hell.

however, the extension loop is also a good place. we got there early that morning and had a large place to tailgate. there is a mobile restroom place, so it's available as well.

should have some more info tomorrow......

pretty much should be booked up in auburn and opelika. the smartest thing to do would be to stay in montgomery on the east side right off of 85. i've always tailgated on extension loop on campus, which is close to the on-campus tennis courts. the green space and parking lots are available early - especially if you are planning on camping out friday night. for ease of finding, the place across from the art museum is probably good - it's right off of college (off of exit 51). if possible, the ideal place would be on biggio drive, but you have to get there early because it's blocked off. it's fairly close to the basketball stadium and there is a restroom facility across the street at the track field. i can bring some pork tenderloin for grilling if someone can bring a grill. as far as bars, there is the supper club, sky bar, oyster bar, and then a stretch of bars downtown that you can judge by looking at. good restaurants - christopher on opelika road and santa fe on college (yeah, it's a chain, but it's good). there's ann dewey's on college behind where hooter's (now bogey's) used to be. it's supposed to be a cajun restaurant......decent, but not authentic. if you get in early in the week - go to jimmy's in opelika on 8th street. the owner is from new orleans the the food is good.
i'll scout out the campus and see if there's a good place closer - they seem to change their tailgating policies every year. again - bigio would be the best - and it would be good because people walk by there. i'll check, but if anyone wants to camp out there with the stuff, it could be pretty sweet.

mf_atkins@yahoo.com if anyone has any questions....

feel free to contact me.......i'd love to meet up with you guys. i can bring some meat to cook if someone has a grill....

one of my in-law's was the guy that was in charge of the blue-gray game that used to be played in montgomery (all star game of players from teams that didn't go to a bowl). my in-law was good friends with charlie mac as a result of it. anyway, he would attend various functions related to it and had lou holtz picked up from the airport for a golf tournament/event. holtz refused to get into the limo because it was the wrong color (white instead of black). he literally waited at the airport until he could get another limo.
