I would roll Gunner out to the right with 2 TE blocking and Branch lined up on the left side and breaking across the middle in a down and out to the right. The RB trailing Gunner to block anyone who get's past the TEs.
Fake a pitch to the RB and then Gunner fakes a run down the right sideline and then throws the pass over the head of the oncoming defenders to Branch as he is crossing beyond the line to gain.
Bottom line: Branch is our quickest/fastest receiver and has the moves to get open. At 6'1" Gunner is not the ideal passer in that situation when you know pressure is coming from their front 7 with 3rd and long so you roll him out with protection to give him time to see the field.

I watched the 2nd half.
My observations:
Wilkinson was hot from 3 point land and had a lot of layups scoring 32 points.
But he did not have enough support from the rest of the team.
We had a decided advantage with Cyril on the inside but we did not get the ball into him (Cyril only scored 7 points); instead there we a lot of blocked shots on the inside by players trying to make layups/draw fowls who should have been feeding Cyril under the basket.
Dumb fouls likely cost us the game down the stretch. Cyril kept coming out to defend instead of staying near the basket and got a reach-in foul trying to cover a guard. Then he basically pushed one of their players down under the basket and fouled out of the game with 5 minutes left so he wasn't even in the game for the overtime play.
Bottom line: I don't know if it's coaching or players not listening but our players need to play smarter.

It's definitely a 2 edged sword.
For a team like ours with multiple injuries the extra time to heal is beneficial but the idle time also creates lack of continuity leading to less sharp execution.

They were. A&M has a solid roster but their OC did not call plays that took advantage of their dual-threat QB. Trying to make a pocket passer out of a dual-threat QB is not a good strategy.
