apparently we have billionaires that didn't go to LSU that love LSU football...that's all it takes...
The one in CA has deep emotional ties... grew up going to games with family, sees how important it is, etc. He won't let it slip if he can help it.
Canes for dinner!
Everyone have a Caniac Combo for lunch today and let's just see what happens.

Insert "He can't keep getting away with this" gif.
The booms are the Covid toilet paper. Just a viral reaction.
He absolutely is. Hopefully he stays there forever.

That might be at the Knoxville Cracker Barrel.

Lane is going to need a lot of extra security
This is actually a valid concern. How does this work anyway? Are the LA State Police responsible for this? If so, they need to send 20 times the normal number of uniformed officers, lots of plain clothes officers scattered throughout the stands, etc.

Where’s the “he can’t keep getting away with this” gif?
Objectively speaking as possible, LSU lured a coach who built a national championship caliber team at Ole Miss. Do we need to have this discussion?

There have been a lot of rumors saying his 25 year old GF broke up with him during the 2024 season. The week of the Kentucky game he flew to Dallas trying to get her to take him back (allegedly). And that’s why we looked so unprepared.
But I thought Pete was the reason.....
Maybe Lane has agreements with the "representatives" of several that are not yet in the portal on purpose... to shelter them from other suitors. Might suddenly sign them all on the last day.

I’m a bit worried they may pull it off and I’ve been here since 2004.
Didn’t Michigan State recently receive a $450+ million donation from a wealthy donor? Athletics success fund or something? I’d imagine they’ll be a big player for quite a while.

Who's sitting behind Leavitt? A box fan?

Yeah and they might be playing for the NC. If they’re overly worried about this stuff, that’s pretty dumb right now.

re: College needs NFL type structure

NFL is awesome. You get to follow players for virtually their entire career, and enjoy a franchise rebuilding itself like the Saints are currently doing. What is happening in college football is going to exponentially help the NFL. They have sat by and watched their #1 threat to split the pie commit suicide.
