It will morph, I think. My kids are HUGE fans of the local D2 school and their high school. The do Razorback stuff for my sake because they know I'm a fan. But they don't initiate it the way they do with their D2 fandom. I don't watch NFL, so I'm not sure they even know the NFL exists.

Significant talent difference at head coach and QB. Maybe Miami's physicality can overcome that, but I doubt it.

Diluted the product with Big12 schools. The first cracks started to show when A&M and Missouri joined. The name doesn't have the same caché and the southern recruits became more distributed.
