[quote]I'll always remember Sears for the Adam Walsh kidnapping and those stupid arse front projection TVs. And Craftsman, of course.[/quote

That Sears in Hollywood, FL was the store my family shopped at. I went to high school 15 blocks from there and my mother worked 10 blocks away. I was home for the summer from LSU when Adam Walsh was abducted. Where else could you drop off your car for an oil change and new tires while you went inside and shopped for school clothes, appliances, exterior paint, power tools and a Mossberg shotgun?

Sounds like another issue where liberals will scream about how it disproportionately affects people of color,

Perhaps they'd even say they "obliterated" it?

It's not hard to understand when you come to the realization that both parties have been hijacked by Identity Politics.

As a lawyer, I understand why people hate us.

I had dinner with 2 attorneys last night. One of them was telling me about a 7,000 page insurance policy he recently dealt with. Gotta love the self serving aspect of a profession where the only people that can understand a document were the opposing lawyers (and soon to be lawyer/judge) written by a bunch of other lawyers.
I grew up in Pawtucket. I’m betting the shooter is from Central Falls.

Dogs who attack people need to be put down.

Many breeds of dogs have strong protective instincts. I would think at instinct would be even stronger with a dog that was abused and taken in by a loving home. I had two Dobermans that were never a problem with guests in our home or with our toddlers. But if you tried to take pics of those toddlers with a flash back then, the Dobermans would stand right in front of them and growl until you stopped. Dogs are a lot smarter than people give them credit for.
Let me guess…..when you were a kid, you took your ball and went home when the other kids didn’t let you win all the time.

re: Who remembers Dawn Tonkovich

I didn’t know Dawn but knew of him. I knew his brother Mike from high school. We all played (at different times) for Dawn’s dad Andy who was also the Phys. Ed teacher.

FYI - Andy was the # 1 overall pick in the 1948 NBA Draft.

Tell me when those particular issues were on any ballot as a referendum.

His name is Chuck Negron.
Yeah, I think I read that on several album jackets more than 50 years ago.

It’s a national story about a lady that nobody knows. The only reason is because her daughter is a darling of the left. She’s one of the lefts favorite water carriers. So his point is a valid one. So if you don’t realize that is the only reason this is even a story, then go eat some more paint chips.

Really? It couldn’t just be because her daughter is famous and a prominent national media figure? Jimmy Hoffa,….Patty Hearst,….….Amelia Earhart,…..the Lindbergh baby,..…I suppose the public fascination with these disappearances were politically driven as well?

Me too. But when I hear his name, it’s not the music I think of. IYKYK

He also reformed the welfare system but good luuck getting anybody here to believe it.

For me, it's sensible enviromental regulations, legalization of marijuana and expanded background checks for gun buyers.
Funny thing is that Lasorda was very friendly with Paul Mainieri's dad Demie and was godfather to Paul's son. Before going to LSU, I played for Demie in junior college. Anybody whoever played for him will tell you that Demie's favorite ex-player was Kurt Bevacqua.

It doesn't help that Trump said he would lower prices. Typical politician speak. This is why we always flip back and forth

Yep. Trump should have just said that he would bring the inflation rate back to it's optimum rate of 2% instead of saying things that make him sound like he had any capability of reversing 3 years of inflation.
There are plenty of ways to neutralize a good edge rusher. A dominant DT is more important than an edge rusher.

Which one of the 10 Commandments did they break?

Can’t think of one but I’m pretty sure that resisting arrest while carrying a concealed weapon is about the dumbest way to challenge Murphy’s law and Darwin’s theory.

Now this is just crazy. Lacy is better than both of these guys by a long shot.

bullshite. Durham and Berry were both much higher rated recruits that both had better true freshman seasons. Unfortunately, they got stuck running behind the worst LSU offensive line in decades while Lacy benefited from playing in an offensive scheme that is perennially in the top 5. There’s a reason that Lacy went from RB4 at Missouri behind 2 undrafted RB’s to All-American and Chambliss went from Ferris State to potential 1st Round NFL pick in one season with Kiffin and Nussmeier’s performance in 2025 fell off a cliff.

I really dont get the point in this, isnt the whole point of marriage to start a family? . Like you pretty much become roommates where someone, usually the man, still gets assfricked in the inevitable divorce.

You’ ve been raised in a society where the accepted social mores were that young adults are expected to marry and have children. Those two things are mutually exclusive. Some people simply aren’t suited for marriage and some aren’t suited for parenting. I have a friend that has been divorced 3 times. He’s 65 now with a 16 year old son from his 3rd marriage and a has a longtime girlfriend. I have another friend who’s 65, happily married and never wanted kids.

I also have a brother in law who started dating a divorced girl with a young son. 25 years later, they are still together and now have 3 great kids of their own. They never felt the need to be married to have kids and if they weren’t still together I’m sure my BIL would be paying through the nose in child support.
