I chased a purse snatcher once. He had about a 200 foot head start on me so there was no way I was catching him, but I still made the effort.

One of our priests directly addressed this once. He said people who do that gladly spend three hours watching a sporting event, but 50 minutes a week for God is where they draw the line.

The old folks stayed under the carport but they enjoyed it too. The only issue was it was hard to keep the place settings intact until everyone ate because it was windy and the utensils and plates kept blowing away.
