This pitching staff is not even competitive.

Yep.

I mean, let this sink in…we were all over the moon about Spaghetti coming back. Spaghetti! I mean, Spaghetti’s good, will probably have a solid career. But to me he’s at best a MOR guy. What we’ve seen has been so bad, him coming back was as if we just got Skenes:lol:

Starts with the messaging from the top.

They’ve been the opposite of proactive since 2019. They got away with it for a long time due to having so much talent stockpiled.

Tucker was effectively the replacement for Springer. Now he’s gone. Peña replaced Correa. Obviously that worked out especially in 2022, but give me prime Carlos any day. First base has been a mess of declining veterans, Walker’s performance this year not withstanding. They never really replaced Brantley. The “big” deals were PR moves for JV and Correa. They went with the ultimate safe hires with Brown and Espada.

After that Dodgers sweep last year, we were a bad baseball team. Yet the only improvement this team made was to hope Yordan stays healthy. In the meantime, their #1 starter left in FA and they decimated the bench. Correa and Altuve are still very solid players, but they aren’t superstars anymore, yet the organization seems to feel that they are. The starting outfield this year was Joey Loperfido, Jake Meyers, and Cam Smith. That isn’t a serious organization.

They’re getting exactly what they should have expected.

Is there someone else in the pipeline that can help?

Word from inside the clubhouse is that he tried to strangle Espada for running Abreu out there to pitch in a close game

Probably had to fight off several teammates for that honor.

Isaac has to be hurt.

Been in and out tonight. What happened that Paredes would have gotten hurt?

in what way?

He wasn’t anywhere near the maniac they portrayed to be in that show.

They made him look like an unhinged lunatic.

Aggressive pinch hit. I dig the urgency.

I like that also.

Isaac

I know it’s early but he is a front runner for biggest disappointment relative to expectations.
I think they had a fan drawing and the winner got to start tonight.

Yainer being allowed to take this at bat.

Fireable offense Espada. I don’t care what Diaz did against this guy in the past.

If Judge got to hit against the Yankees pitching this series, he would have eight homers.

Just shut up.

This is why you save challenges for late in the game, assholes.

Yep. I know they’re all still getting used to doing this and I also realize one pitch can change the complexion of a whole at bat…but unless it’s horribly egregious, you just can’t challenge a call on the first pitch like Tuve did.

Yainer Castro Maldonado

Diaz

He’s literally Maldonado at this point.
Other than that Trammell throw we have played some lights out D tonight.

Tuve with a gem

Good lord what a terrible throw Trammel

Moniak had more or less given up on the play…and still got back.

Sigh
How in the bloody hell do they not double up Moniak there?

Horrible Trammell
