This is the shite I don’t get. I understand why we don’t give Kyle Tucker 240MM but we can’t fricking afford Victor Caratini??!!

It was because they were arbitrarily lengthening the agreement to lower the AAV

How is it arbitrary if the player agrees to it? Doesn’t the CBA say there is no limit to how long it can be deferred?

I thought lowering the AAV was the whole point?

It's not as fun watching games indoors. What happened to the days they would have super bowls in semi cold weather locations like this?

I agree with you on the game itself…people are going to go to that regardless. But there’s way more focus now on the events of the week leading up to the game. They don’t want bad weather for that because it will keep people away.

#1 seeds were always playing on Saturday

If Jacksonville had won yesterday, the winner of tonight’s game would have been playing the 1 seed. Hard to believe they would have made them play on Saturday after a Monday game.

Bad spot

It will get overlooked because they gave him the first down anyway, but they missed that spot by a full yard.

Indiana would Play the Titans Close

Only if the Judge was playing QB.

What am I saying? The Judge could play them 1 on 11 and still dominate.

College gameday went from phoenix to Atlanta overnight.

For round 1, they were in Norman for the Bama OU night game, then in College Station for the normal gameday slot the following morning.

I can still remember the feeling I had walking through the Terrace level portal and seeing the field and thinking ‘Holy shite! I’m about to actually watch LSU play for a National fricking Championship!!!’

That’s how I felt just walking to the Dome before the game. The memory I had was thinking of that Auburn int fiasco from 1994 and that if you told me we’d be playing for a national title less than 10 years later, I’d have laughed.
Hobson! Because he was the most quotable.

“Good luck in prison”

“Steal something casual”

“ usually one must go to a bowling alley to meet a woman of your stature.”

“Yes. As we can all see, it’s a lovely day, which would seem to indicate that the night is over.”

Many many others as well

Just watched the end of it…Texas St was kneeling…from the shotgun as a lot of teams do now. Game is way out of hand, so losing yardage doesn’t matter. For some reason, though the QB was taking the snap and running all the way up to the line and then taking a knee.

I wonder why that is?

They also need to find a backup catcher maybe

So is Caratini totally out of the picture to re-sign?

In general, I’m excited about the pitching acquisitions, and understand we had to withstand the loss of Framber and can’t expect the patchwork crew of 2025 to overachieve again.

However, it’s a bit disconcerting that we were bottom half or third in most of the important hitting categories, while top 10 in most pitching categories, yet our big acquisitions have been pitching.

Dubon could be infuriating at times and I get it was a salary dump, but they got literally one of the worst hitters in MLB in return and also dumped Urias. That’s our big offensive moves so far.

A healthy Yordan is a big deal, but I expect regression from Jake and even if not, he’s not hitting for power. The guy I am hoping for more from is Sanchez. I’m hoping that his horrendous few months with us are a result of the now departed clown hitting coaches. Even then though he can’t hit lefties. I think we have to hope Cam can pick it up or perhaps ZDZ.

Does seem like a weird waste.

It’s a massive waste.

Seen it in the upper 60s and sunny here with the Texans playing at home and the roof is shut.

You’ll hear things like “the players like it closed.” Fine then….just should have built a fixed roof.

Doesn’t get talked about enough. Awesome movie that was so realistic, the NFL wanted nothing to do with it.

For the 10,000,000th time for the idiots in the back: WE ARE NOW REQUIRED BY THE SEC TO PLAY 1 P4 OOC GAME PER YEAR. So you don’t cancel one to turn around and have to replace it, paying both a buyout and a hefty sum to lock down a new opponent.

Yep. Not only is it in place, it’s been that way since 2016

What a shitshow.

Saw Sleepy Joe projecting Altuve at 2B and as mentioned earlier Yed at DH.

So if they move Jake, are we looking at an OF of Sanchez, Cole and Smith? Dear God.

ETA…ZDZ and Melton in the mix too.

This prospect is right up there with when Costanza had the deal on the table to get Griffey and Bonds in the same OF.

Game wasn’t competitive at all Ohio never left second gear after halftime. You clearly didn’t watch the game.

It was a one score game with 4 min to go.

If you don’t think that’s competitive then you don’t know what you’re talking about.

I think with the 9th sec game, the sec is no longer doing the typical bullshite cupcake game late November. I assume all cupcake games will be in September or mid October at the latest.

At the very least, don’t allow 3/4 of the conference to do it on the same weekend. The weekend of 11/22 was abysmal.
