Excuse me….Don. I’ve had a couple of drinks. LOL
What studio work that was available in north Louisiana is officially gone because of that crap.

What is it about a song that moves you to like it, enjoy it, defend it?

For me, it’s harmony….and not necessarily vocal harmony. It can be like the chords formed by Tom Scott’s two saxophones on Deacon Blues. It’s not even a really pronounced part of the song but you can hear the separate notes being played and how they work together.

Same with the guitar solo on Detroit Rock City. That’s a part I will always turn up to 10. It’s Joe Walsh and Don Felder on Hotel California.

It can be a great groove like Bonham on When the Levee Breaks or the way Rick drives the chorus on Photograph.

Sometimes it can be vocals. Bobby Kimball singing that arse kicking high stuff on the first few Toto albums, knowing he learned to sing like that right here in Louisiana.

It’s seldom been lyrics. I’m a melody/harmony guy first but there are some songs that have become standouts based on the lyrics.

So, what is it that catches your ear?

12 years old. Motorcycle crash. Had to walk about 4 blocks to the house. One ankle was jacked pretty badly also.

Ride to the ER in that old Ford LTD was brutal. We just have hit every pot hole on Highway 15.

And when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, here comes Nurse Ratchet with the cinch. Not the worst pain I’ve ever had (kidney stone), but probably second. I swear when she cinched that thing up and pulled that broken clavicle into place, I saw Jesus.

First day of 8th grade was the next day and hell yea, Mom made me go. We were late and she walked me to the door to tell my teacher what was going on. No recess, no showers.

It sucked

First week was brutal. One afternoon I was walking beside the house when a GD’d red wasp the size of a Robin stung me. I jerked as I started running. Damn it hurt. Years after it healed it would hurt me before it rained.
Louisiana has become the new "Florida" for turkeys. Each winter I get a half dozen phone calls from guys trying to kill turkeys in each state, asking if I know where they can go hunt private ground here.

I'm unaware of any outfitters outside of maybe one down south somewhere.

I doubt Hillary is pissed….

Hill Dawg will forever be pissed after losing to Trump. Or maybe she’s pissed that her husband liked to soak his cigars in the twats of other women.

Maybe she’s just as pissed as you are in your comments.
Get your licks in while you can.
“Yea, that’s gonna strain us a LITTLE BIT.”

OH NOOOOO!!!!!!!!

LMAO!!!!!

Would you use the electric kit to be quieter and use real cymbals.

We used an electric kit a couple of years ago on a live date. We recorded the show for promotional purposes and while the drum sounds were fantastic, the high hat and cymbals made it sound like a drum machine.

There was no nuance to the high hat work.

What happened to the teams regular bats this weekend?

Not sure anything did. I was simply reacting to some posts I’ve seen here of folks being concerned over the low scoring this weekend.

Please don’t beat me up too badly.

My daughter is a collegiate softball HC, who will often times early in the season when playing an inferior team, ask her hitters to work on different disciplines at the plate. NO PICS YOU ANIMALS!

The games are non conference, so winning and losing isn’t really important.

For example, I’ve seen her challenge her hitters to work on marginal pitches, learning plate discipline and literally challenging each hitter to try and get at least one walk during the game.

I’ve also seen her ask them to lay completely off “off speed” pitches and work on squaring up fastballs only.

Point is, we don’t know what Jay is working on with these hitters, but it sure looked familiar this weekend, watching guys layoff some pretty good looking pitches

Jay has more than earned my respect, I’m not too worried about what’s to come.
OP lives in west by god Virginia. The cold has turned his brain to mush.
Pete looks like he would taste like warm beer, stale Marlboros and cat piss.
I honestly believe he enjoyed some of these interactions.
