Check out the SWC days. Texas played all 11+Bowl in the state of Texas in 1980 and 1982. The only out of state games they played in 1981 and 1983 were at Arkansas. That includes the Bluebonnet Bowl (Houston), the Sun Bowl (El Paso), and two Cotton Bowls (Dallas). 48 games, only two outside of Texas.

Texas A&M played all their games in Texas in 1983, SMU played all their games in 1982 in Texas, etc...
Nutt is 4-6 vs. LSU:

wins in 98,00,02,07
losses in 99,01,03,04,05,06

01,05,06 were won by LSU by 3,2, and 5 respectively. In other words, it's been relatively close over 10 years.

Nutt's actually a 4-6 loser against LSU, not a 3-7 loser as the quote states. Wins in 98,00,02,07
So 5-5 against Arkansas is considered a winning record?

re: espn title town usa

Titletown is stupid, but Los Angeles is it. UCLA and USC have 184 national titles put together (100 UCLA 84 USC). The Lakers have 14 NBA titles, the Dodgers have 6 titles (1 from Brooklyn), and the Angels have 1.

Outside of Los Angeles, Palo Alto has 94 national titles, Stillwater has 48, Fayetteville 41, and then Baton Rouge 40.

edit to add: these don't count college football titles so add accordingly.
