This is a question most schools are gonna face in the coming years. What level can you afford certain programs to be. Do you want to be ok in everything or throw all money at a couple sports. The popular take here in Bama is we kill the baseball and track programs. Title IX makes it harder to drop womens sports but the numbers show you could drop track and still be good. Those are losers and money drainers with housing, tuition, flights, hotels.
I don't think he has any interest in the NFL.

Exactly. Without NIL Indiana and Ole Miss are still Indiana and Ole miss. Coaches mean less than they ever have.
I could see it. Harbaugh strikes me as a guy that would have no interest in the Falcons. Too big of a loser franchise.
I don't think he goes right now but if major reforms aren't made to NIL and the portal I would not be surprised to see him make a move like that in a couple years.
Of all the coaches that hate the current state of college football he may hate it the most.
Pete had one successful sustained stop in his coaching career. The Raiders hiring him was comedic. Im surprised it lasted this long.
“This looks like Rich Rod. I would say possibly worse, but Rich Rod was awful at Michigan. This hire is a head scratcher.”

Not at all. This guy is top notch. He starts with defense and the run game. He’s gonna have a pass rush that will be amoung the best in the country and a dominant run game and that wins. He is nothing like RichRod. You take a great fundamental coach, put him with those resources and the ability to get the players Michigan will have access to and you have a monster. This is the best hire of the season.
“Only on this board, just amongst LSU fans, is Kyle.fricking Whittingham considered a "bad" hire”

Exactly. Great coach with resources he’s never had could be scary. LSU fans are too busy celebrating hiring a child that when Saban was asked by Byrne what he thought about Kiffin when he retired said he didn’t need to be “within a thousand miles of Tuscaloosa” but should be fine for LSU when they asked. LSU fans think way more of themselves than others.
This dude with Michigans resources is a scary thought. Would love to hear the Buckeye fans “honest” feelings on this.
“all we get from Oxford is venom and Hate!! Screw Ole Miss!!”

What goes around comes around as they say. Us Bama fans had to deal with LSU bullshite for 17 years pining about Saban and bitching at everything. It gets old fast but you’ll get used to it.
Now that Saban has retired and LSU fans have cooled down it’s gonna fun to watch LSU and ole miss but don’t say a word about the venom you get from ole miss. You deserve every drop.
Biff seems to be the leader heading to the 18th.

Your coach is DeBore LMAOOOOOO

You mean the guy that just won a road playoff game? The guy that almighty Mich was selling their soul to get? You mean the guy that has a better record than Saban his first two years? Before you say Saban left him a goldmine, nah, 20 players left Bama when Saban retired including Julian Sayin and Caleb Downs. Remember your boy doing the "Bama was burning" thing when those players left? That Deboer?

Oh, this cost will be passed on. Higher ticket prices, higher parking passes, higher concessions. Trust me when I say no university just eats these expenses.
So I guess that means he loves Michigan and wishes he was still coaching in the state.

re: Joe Brady next Bengals coach?

Brady would make very little difference if at all as HC. Burrow never bulking up and the cheapness of the Bengals will keep him hurt. Burrows career is close to the end.
“LSU just paid $13 MIL a year for a head coach that’s never made the playoffs or won a conference championship at the power four level”

Yes, a coach that Bama didn’t even interview two years ago and would not be interviewed today. They know it and we know it. As Jake Crain said last night Saban had no problem telling Lane to take the LSU job but would never tell Bama admins to hire him. You don’t take the Bama program and turn it into a twitter crazy frat house.
I think they just wanted to get someone in that spot quickly. They felt he was probably the closest thing to Harbaugh I guess. Good question.
I’m in the minority but I think Tommy is gonna be a fine head coach. The Browns suck with everybody so I discount that. Tommy is a very play the percentages kind of coach that won’t get you beat.
Why would Michigan need a cargo md-88 landing at midnight.
