My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers is an old standby. But I would recommend highly Thoughts from the Diary of a Desperate Man (daily) by Walt Henrichsen, available at leadershipfoundation. Org and mimworldwide.com. His 2 others, Warnings for a People Not Listening to God (daily) and Seeking to Understand the Christian Life (weekly) are also exceptional

Anyone compare self- testing water and chemical purchase from walmart/big box stores with testing at pool specialty stores and purchase their chemicals, i.e. any significant difference in quality between the two approaches?

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I've heard/ read anterior approach best. Surgeon is about the most popular for THA in the town and seems to have excellent outcomes (as voiced by PT's). Falling apart since retirement- in last year, right thumb suspensionplasty and right wrist SLAC (ligament tear), and now this- hard on the golf game.
Hip replacement

I'm 69, very active: run, golf walking and carrying clubs, backpack, hike. Now with unilateral hip pain, running very limited, very limited on internal rotation(golf backswing). Will get diagnosis in a week or so, pretty sure it's osteoarthritis. Anyone have hip replacement, what convinced you, and your outcome as far as post- recovery activities?

Can anyone provide suggestions on how to interpret the colorful and technical weather maps people post when severe weather is predicted, including the letter/number designations? Any websites? AI helpful? Thanks

Is it state law that backflow preventer valves on home systems be tested and certified annually? How is this enforced and how much does it cost in your area? Had one in Shreveport and never heard of this until I recently moved to Lincoln parish

Yes, your 2nd paragraph is pretty much what we were told. There wasn't really any major temp fluctuations, less than if we had been home, Thermostats were at narrow range. Guess it was just it's time. What a mess, though
Ours shattered 2 weeks before we moved while we were out of town. Was about 15yr old. No one could say "why", except possible impurities? Same as micropits referenced above?
CO passed a law re: rental cars requiring snow equipment and it's the renter's responsibility to make sure the car is equipped. Don't remember the details so one should check if renting. Was just there last week but had personal vehicle that was legal so didn't pay too much attention

Still learning my BGE. Bought pizza steel, tried Neapolitan dough. Preheated steel on BGE to 650 degrees (placed on upper grate, no stone or ConvEGGtor underneath). Dough basically caught fire when placed on steel, 2nd piece of dough still got charred. Suggestions? Maybe ConvEGGtor underneath the answer? Thanks

I don't know what part of Hyderabad u went to, but when I went about 9 yr ago I went all over the city. About the filthiest place I've been. Typical Indian views- street urination/ defecation. Even though I stayed in one of the Marriotts, the stench from adjacent stream (diarrhea green) when the wind blew a certain way and the nearby lake where people sent their little flaming boats out on the water as part of the grieving process for loved ones were very efficient deterrents to return. Heartbreaking situation. And i have a very close Indian friend who lives there
