I think it was a signability issue, and teams didn't want to use the pick but lose the pool money. He's somewhere in the 40's range HS prospect wise on Perfect Game.

Then you put him at DH for Bryce, not Wofford. Wofford hasn't proven anything this year, at least Romero has the potential to have a big game.

This is my main gripe. I don't mind Mainieri giving up the power for speed and average. But, good lord, can we have at least one arm in the OF that people think twice about running on?
