re: Don't Trust Bain

Posted by RUFshreve on 4/17/26 at 9:10 pm to
Bottom line for me, there's just too many question marks surrounding Bain. I think there will be too many great-elite prospects available to us, that i wouldn't take the risk on Bain.

I feel much more confident in guy like Downs and Delane being pro-bowl caliber DBs, so id rather go that route.
Listen Joe, we dont have the pick now, so it doesn't matter to us whether its top 3 or top 10. But id rather it be higher, so this FO looks worse than they already do, so they'll be on the hot seat sooner. Whatever gets Dumars and Weaver gone the soonest, that's what I want. Because until then, we're fricked and that's just a fact.

As we should. Her value drops each day. Should have traded him at the deadline

We should have never traded for Queen, right now we'd have a top 5 pick.

I'd rather Herb + top 5 pick over Queen + mid first.
Now we're gonna do something stupid like trade Herb for a mid first. Watch.
I'm praying he doesn't make a change at HC, because if he does, his new HC will almost certainly be worse. It'll be Avery Johnson or Darvin Ham level bad.

Dumars and Weaver are that incompetent.
Its the worst possible scenario, so ofcourse it's what Dumars is gonna do.

Fire JT, Hire Ham, extend Zion, then trade Poole and Herb and multiple firsts to upgrade this sorry arse roster.
But the boomer conservatives on this board loved when we invaded Iran? They called the rest of us democrats and panicans for wanting Trump to stick to his "no more wars" promise.
We need someone lile Dexter to play next to him, which is why I think getting a real game changer at NT needs to be a priority in this draft.

Alex Jones is now full-on establishment.

So everyone that helped start, and push the MAGA movement from 2016, through his first term and stuck by him through the impeachments, 2020 elections, J6, and then helped him get reelected in 24, they are all establishment now, because they dont support this war?

But the Never Trumpers like Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, etc.. these are the true anti-establishment GOP figures now, because they support the war?

What has happened to this board? Its like 2/3rds of yall have lost your collective minds. What happened to no new wars? What happened to fixing the problems at home first? What happened to caring about affordability?

The entire coalition didnt change, Trump changed. He surrounded himself with Zionist warhawks and they won out. Now we're in another ME regime change war and yall are celebrating it. Feels like a waking nightmare.

Thats just objectively not true. Please post any contradictory claims from Lazar on the crafts he saw/worked on. I'll wait.
We'd probably go Delane or Bain in this scenario. Downs is another good option. McCoy would be way too risky at 8.
I'd be fine trading down and taking Ioane or Mauigoa. Best way to invest in Shough is to get him the best offensive line in the entire league.

You can take a WR/DB in the 2nd or 3rd.

I think Zion's ideal role, is elite 6th-man. He could be the best in the league. He'd likely never accept that role though.
This took alot of time and effort, so I'll applaud that while saying I hate the outcome.

But in reality, Dumars already did so much damage last off-season, that this one would be much less painful. So I could stomach it, but it wouldn't inspire any excitement. You're getting rid of every decent player other than Trey and Fears.

Would be a great addition, but idk if he'll be there at 42. Definitely wont be there in the 3rd.

I can't tell if you're joking or not.

Funny I haven't heard a single thing from Letlow about this either but Flemming has been very vocal against the GOP for Thune's actions. Cassidy & Letlow can't go away fast enough. Thanks to Governor lite & the GOPe for pushing Trump to endorse her.

Once again Trump endorsed a RINO, when there was a legit AF candidate ready to go. Everyone needs to vote Fleming or we get more of the same.

re: Interior O line draft

I think Lew is much better prospect than Brailsford. I think Gulbin out of Mich St is another guy that could play multiple spots on the interior and be had in rounds 3-4.

Personally, I think we should draft two OL in this draft and atleast one of them needs to be ready to start this year. I dont care if that's a G or C, but we need one ready to go.

McCoy is always hurt, Ruiz sucks and we lost our only decent backup to Carolina. Edwards was a nice signing, but we still need to replace the other two interior positions.

Round 3 is the latest i'd look for a starting OL.

Something like Delane, Bell and Dunker in 1,2 and 3 would be a dream draft imo. Resign Cam. All our main holes are filled, go BPA the rest of the way.

Zion isn’t going anywhere and to be honest he doesn’t need to until Queen becomes more reliable. He has way too many games where he just looks list ob defense and only gives you 4 points. As the season has gone on my expectations for the rookies has flipped. Now Fears looks like a good starter going forward but Queen is a bench player so far if you ask me

People were drinking the kool-aid way too soon on Queen and it was obvious. Kid has too many glaring holes to his game. He's not a plus athlete, he's not a good shooter, he doesn't have elite measurements and he can't play a lick of defense.

I just don't see a world where Queen becomes a starting caliber big in the league. He can be a decent 3rd or 4th bigman, but considering we could've had a top 3 pick instead had we tanked when we were at 3-22, we could have our future superstar that we're currently missing.

For now, our only hope is that Fears can become a superstar, because if not, we're a long way from ever being a contender.
