Legit made me laugh out loud.
LOL

He thinks we might invade Greenland?

Our elected representatives are actually dumber than the average morons voting for them.

You are correct. Many here are in complete denial.

Change and speed of change is going to be unlike anything ever experienced by humanity. There is no comparison that is even in the ballpark of what's coming.

The die is cast. We are too far down the road for any government or election to change it. It's in our future like tomorrow's sunrise.

We are in big trouble but try to have a nice day anyway.

Mike Tomlin was overrated and mediocre

Do you have any clue how difficult it is to win in the NFL?

Any hint of an idea?

It's fricking hard and some incredible coaches weren't able to do it at all or do it consistently.

Tomlin did it for 19 years and won 193 games which is 9th best in history. He won 8 playoff games as well including a Super Bowl.

Tomlin is a great coach and I doubt he's finished.
I think it's more about the board reacting like every incoming commitment is the next coming of Jayden Daniels and every outgoing player is some rejected or "processed" dog that some program is going to regret signing.

The ones that got dominated by La tech, Houston and Southeastern ?

Oh you broke down the film?

Zero star out of high school. Should be a good replacement for the young 4 and 5 stars that left and are now at other SEC programs.
Lacy could. Or Berry, or T. Green or Pickett.

I literally watched Curne not touch the DE on a rush at least twice a game

Wait, a kid that was playing high school football 12 months ago struggled in the SEC while starting as a true freshman?

Holy cow! I can't believe that!

You're right, that kid sucks. Good riddance to him. Everyone knows true freshman should jump into the SEC and dominate like a 4th year senior headed for the 1st round.

You're an idiot.
A freshman
A redshirt freshman
A sophomore

Playing in the SEC

They still have tremendous upside.

It's absurd to write off young talent like this.
quote:

These guys we felt were shitty are still landing at SEC programs.

The guys that left weren't shitty. They were young and playing in the SEC.

There is a reason all of them are highly sought after by SEC programs. They have tremendous upside despite struggles that can largely be attributed to youth.

LSU took the lumps and these other programs will reap the rewards.

I'm not saying it wasn't, but keeping this line together should have been a top priority of the new staff.

The people thinking true freshman and redshirt freshman we had playing last year were finished products are just stupid and have little understanding of SEC football in the trenches.

Freshman struggle. Idiots think these guys were "processed".

Where is all this money that made Lane choose LSU?

There is plenty money. The problem with this board is the failure to recognize that everyone has money.

LSU isn't operating in some other world from the big powers and even smaller programs have a lot of money to throw at individual players even if they don't have a huge pool for the whole roster.

Not to mention that LSU needs the budget to replace a tremendous amount of talent that just strolled out the door.
Good timing. Just a few weeks until parades start.

Great news for LSU. Besides being a false start expert, this is the kind of pass blocking Ole Miss can expect from this guy

You do realize the guy was a freshman starting in the SEC?

You take your lumps but it pays off over time. The kid is talented and will be a quality lineman.

LSU took the lumps and OM will get the payoff.

I'm confident Kiffin will do well at LSU but next year will be rough largely due to the absurd expectations of the fan base.

LSU had a ton of young developing talent walk out the door and many here are pretending it didn't happen. Next year will be rough.

It's normal with a coaching change especially with one as tumultuous as this one.

People haven't accepted the fact that this new world of college football has diminished many of the big advantages LSU had in the old system.

quote:

We kicked them to the transfer portal.

If you actually believe this, you are a moron.

This team has lost a tremendous amount of young talent.

It's going to take a phenomenal portal class to even approach what was lost.

This is a huge rebuild at this point.

Lsu was getting Leavitt

Are they?

Maybe you should hold this thread a day or two.

quote:

Texas Tech and LSU finished first and second in the portal rankings last year according to both 247 and On3.

What the hell does that have to do with this year?
quote:

This portal class will finish in top 2 alongside Texas Tech.

As usual, this board is out of touch with reality with completely unrealistic expectations.

quote:

It'll be 10m next year, and then 15m the year after. Agents will just keep telling their QBs that they're worth 1.5x what the last guy got.

Absolutely correct.

We are witnessing the real time destruction of college football.

Something will survive this destruction but what will be left won't even be recognizable to the game we all grew up loving.

And for what?

Maybe. Cignetti has quite a ways to go to even match the accomplishments of Les Miles.
