No they don’t. But he can just unenroll

If Ole Miss fails to do this, they put themselves at risk, because the NCAA would have no choice but to come down on them hard with a punishment that fits the crime.

Had Oregon and the B1G had the full out conflict with the one player, Williams, similar would have happened. The NCAA and the B1G would have had to go at it, because the NCAA doesn't want any part of that anti-trust.. which is coming.
Miami, because Indiana has gotten a lot of free lunch this year.

I dont agree with having a bish arse schedule and having a few good performances at the end of the year when everyone else's rosters are shredded. I dont belive in a roster of 23 year olds AVERAGE in college..

... and you can downvote me, but I think theres smoke behind some of the allegations. They keft 2 wr wide open on that opening pick 6 against Oregon.

No. Get him, but then you need to tamper and poach a little. You dont run our schedule next year without stealing some pieces from ppl on the schedule
Yeah... and as much of a Cinderella story as indiana is... its just the beginning of 23+ year old avg starter ages... like that should be an exception not the rule. Thats literally semipro
States like Mississippi are going to use local judges to over-ride NCAA rulings.

Entire conferences like the B1G are using anti-trust tactics to basically force student athletes to give up their rights for NIL contracts.

Schools are literally having or near having actual entire positions that are not filled prior to next season starting.

Athletes are entering portal, not getting picked up, and not having a scholarship

- which, even if you agree with this, Coaches are using the portal for themselves to cut athletes, and this is what people dont want to discuss. Coaches are literally telling athletes to enter the portal, and essentially forcing them too.

Every single direction you look at this, its complete chaos. The Ole Miss and Chambliss thing... will be a precedent. The Williams thing - which I understand the optics of him signing a contract, but to have the conference comissioner jump in on that... and all the schools using the same contract, when they are supposed to be competitors.. is a bad, bad look.

Finally, look at the SEC and southern schools essentially devouring themselves fighting for these top athletes. You see it a little, but no where near as bad in the B1G -- and I think that's because of this contract they are using.

Fast, quick enough to play the star?

LSU needs to get the hell away from the 3-4

And there is a fairly substantial body of evidence at this point.

Goes to show where our talent evaluation has been on the offensive side of the ball, in the shitter.

Im pretty sure Ole Miss just went to the Semi-Finals...

I think your perception of the state of LSU football is off. Hopefully we do get back there though.

Just curious, who is saying first round projections? Hope so

the rant. its every. freaking. year. If we didn't get leavitt but Nuss got a 903th year of eligiblity he'd be next years preseason heisman.. again

Dawg, 3 Mil is more than a decent amount of NFL lineman make.

Yes, this is because there are salary caps in the NFL and a union.

We missed on Chazz and it looks like we'll miss on Damon Wilson, too.

Not having an elite edge and some speed / depth at OLB is going to lead to ppl blaming Baker next year for scrambling qbs i can already hear it

Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm just having a hard time cheering for LSU when you know a majority of the players couldn't care less about LSU and are just using LSU for a paycheck.

and exactly which blue chip players stayed in Louisiana and didn't get paid or transferred here in the Miles days and didnt' get paid for it? much less the Orgeron days?

How many more anti-NIL...

"Good ole days"

posts are you going to make? The idea of the "student-athlete" has been a sham for 20 years now.

Hell, college in general is mostly a sham now. I struggled at LSU my freshman year, joined the military, came back and graduated and I can tell you...

It's not what you think it is. It's 13 - 17 grade now. EVERYONE passes. It's a joke.

Other than mobility, I’d say similar.

you're a major troll

If LSU lands Longstreet, we have the most stacked QB room in the country. I’d feel comfortable with our 1-3 QB’s and Lane.

Not sure we’ve ever been able to say that…

Jesus.

We have an injured QB that will miss spring practice.. but if IF recovery comes along, and he does the VR thing and all that good stuff over the summer.. might be one of the best we've had.

We have a transfer from Elon that had other mid-tier schools offering him.

We have a guy that was 5 stars in HIGH SCHOOL that has yet to prove himself in college.

We have one proven QB that has a possibly very serious injury / recovery that will certainly miss spring

We have 1 guy that could be a diamond in the rough but definitely has experience.

We MIGHT get one guy that is still ALL hype from HS recruiting rankings.

Let's not do the Nuss thing again where all of a sudden, when he decided to come back, we just looked past EVERYTHING we saw in 2024.

Lamar brown is playing edge?

Team needs now going forward with Leavitt in the foldby reds on reds on reds
Linebacker

They need some speed here too for packages and standard depth.

Expect to see a bigger DB do a little cross training or position move like we saw with Chavis

re: Just how many WR do you need?

Fresh legs in a no huddle go a long way.

You can put 2nd or 3rd stringers in there and send them on verts to tire out the defense.

Stuff like that helps force a D in zone... which is where ya want them

For the QB1 spot, it seems to be between two players:
1. Ex-USC 5 star true freshman QB Husan Longstreet, who was visiting LSU last night.
- He was offered by Kiffin early in his high school career.
- He attended the LSU women’s basketball game where LSU upset #2 Texas in the PMAC.
Sam Leavitt is still in play and “will sign with LSU”, per PhillyTiger.
- We will see if he is correct this time. I have my doubts.

Its Leavitt or there isnt a known QB1.

Elon kid has proven college experience and the usc kid is a 5 star in hs that sat the bench at USC for one year.

If you get Leavitt then you have a QB1 and a backup.

If you get long street, then you have a qb battle and hopefully the winner can keep up vs Clemson. Clark or Longstreet might turn out to be amazing.. im just saying we wont know what we have until the season bc they sre both a gamble.

worth the risk.

So, you think that the money spent on all the other pieces and the clear discouraging other qbs fo come is worth risking on a guy thars not played

Bring him in as QB1, he goes through spring and fall camp, then starts against Clemson.

No doubt he is a dynamic playmaker and Kiffin’s track record with green QBs instills confidence. Geaux get ‘em.

How did he do last year? How many plays?

What was his PRODUCTION???

If you can't answer these things.. then expecting to win a championship at LSU is delusional.

You guys are Garrett Nussmiering again. You're getting desperate and making BS Up to make yourself feel better.

LSU needs a proven commodity.
