That rule needs to change. I know in college it is abused by the defense but maybe their can be a compromise. 15 yds and a first down but a spot foul at the 2 yd line if it prevents a score. I dont know but the qbs just throw it up for grabs at the end

I am old school and feel the same way however it could be multiple things. Everyone wants to get paid like their friends so I cant fault them for getting market value. The market will eventually reset itself like it does in a capitalist economy. But I think now a kid sees where they can win and get paid and to some extent the culture of the team.

I could live with two year contracts. Lock in for two years and you could transfer every year if you decide to after that until you run out of eligibility. RS counts as a year. Its a compromise but at least you dont develop and then lose year 2

I dont mind paying players but I wish the agreements were for two years and binding so you didnt have to recruit every single player every year. Even professional sports doesnt have to do that

Yes sir! But bigger question is why is aTm even playing this game. Should be ole miss getting the beat down against miami. Dont get me wrong i hate aTm also. Just a miss by committee imo.

The confidence Verge puts out there is contagious. Its like he said sure we will let our little brother Ole Miss borrow our guy for their playoff run. They will never get back there again and Weis can promote our great school and show to recruits what we will do for years to come.

Also can you have a contract signed but dated post playoffs and it be legally binding while currently under contract with someone else? I dont know how contract law works. I am thinking no but not sure.

I could see a scenario where we have an agreement in place. Ole Miss knows it but wants to save face and say you cant or LSU cant announce any time during the playoff or we let you go immediately. And Lane wants to announce now for recruiting purposes but coach and Ole Miss is like no way out of image and jealousy

Looking at it from the LSU perspective if I am grateful for the interim job Wilson and the gang has done. I would be ok with Lane announcing after the egg bowl and for us after Oklahoma. This helps Ole Miss by insuring they get to the playoff and let a promoted coordinator on staff figure it out. This is the best case for them in a bad situation. For us it helps this team finish strong under Frank because you respect that guy though he isnt the next coach.

We spent too much NIL on Nuss to sit the bench but you spend good money and bad money all the time. Lets put the MVB money to the test before we keep losing. Gotta find out what you got at this point. And also WRs will quit on a QB who hangs them out to injury on bad passes. Just ask Derek Carr

MVB came and was willing to sit a year but who knows what these kids think when someone can showcase him in a system and he watches a qb who cant do it. No reason to be loyal to Nuss today. You may lose this year and lose out next year

Im sure its been said but play MVB and if you win or lose say we wanted to rest the injury to Nuss and avoid a qb controversy a little longer. You arent going to change the coordinator so change to the qb who can run this system
