I don't know this as a fact but likely that they can put any caliber in the gun pretty easily. They wanted modular and it fits the bill.

Since the P226 was the OB's pick as favorite pistol several years ago and I have two and really love them, I will go with it.

I want a VP9 and will have one

The other two I can't comment on as I've never played with them but I do own an H&K USP and have owned a USP Compact. They are both amazing guns so I wouldn't expect less from the P30.

Unless the breadboard ends warp the table should be fine. I've built a couple though they were not from dimensional lumber and I used stopped mortise and tenons on them.

Does that one have the Springfield trigger lock?

I have a champion .45 with the trigger lock. The trigger on it is terrible. Needs to be replaced. Probably 7lbs pull.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I got one last trip in with my dad but didn't realize he was sick at the time.
Enjoy your time together and give him a few extra hugs and I love you's.

I lost my dad 3 years ago and it still hurts.

Ignore everything he just said.

1911, while different than most modern, weapons are absolutely not obsolete. Why do you think there are more manufacturers for 1911s now than at any time in the past.

I'm personally not a huge fan of the sp2022 but prefer the p320 and any striker fired pistol over a long DAO pull.
