We run a propane company based out of Thibodaux and will be doing multiple NG conversations to LP after this storm. Couple this with the right sized tank and wireless tank monitors the homeowners will never have to call us to get their tanks filled before running out
Depends on the model. On an air cooled generac very simple but there’s more steps on liquid cooled that we recommend a dealer doing the conversion since it’s more than just swapping the orifices.

On the liquid cool Briggs units it’s very simple and we have some customers in Thibodaux that have it plumbed for natural gas with our LP tank back up. Can change over on the fly if natural starts failing
This is more common than you would think. We just converted Dr. Higgens 38KW from natural gas to propane with a 1000 gal tank and he’s right off Hwy 1. Never enough header pressure when everyone’s units increase the demand. His is running right now without any issues

Come drop by our office when the dust settles from this
Thank you! I’ll give that a try today
The issue I’m having with mine is the water lines running through the attic causes the water temp to be too hot going into the unit. Not sure if insulating my water lines would help
Who has decent beef ribs in Baton Rouge. My neighbor always gets them at Costco

Zapps Plant Status

Will the Gramercy plant ever reopen or will Utz continue to make them at their other facilities?
Do you leave them open or covered in fridge for 24Hrs?

Reusing Copper Gutters

Took down my copper gutters from a remodel project. Anyone know any Baton Rouge recs for gutter crews that would be willing to try and rehang what is useable?

I figure most companies would just want to start over with new material
We’ve purchased 3 Macro Fans for our shop and wouldn’t never look back. Vector Sales off Tom Drive/Airline is the local distributor. Easy to work with
If you are going to go air cooled route the 20Kw Kholer is superior. Never go with 22/24KW Generac. I’m not a dealer but I’m involved with most brands on a daily basis from the gas side

Something to pay attention on liquid cooled are BTU loads. Fuel consumptions on Cummins or Generics vs a Briggs are night and day. This will help you with cost savings on LP or Nat Gas when operating for long outages

Gas Grill/Griddle Combos

Posted by Propane_Tiger on 4/24/22 at 1:33 pm
Looking for a decent quality built in gas grill that has a griddle section or ability to have add drop in griddle. Any recommendations out there? Having trouble finding something that would work

Meh the refill adapter doesn’t work that great. If you want something small that will last and is refillable I would go with the 1.2 gallon or 2.5 gallon tanks that Manchester or Worthington sells. They are harder to come by but we supply a couple local hardware stores with them.
We have all size propane tanks available both above ground and under ground. PM me if you need more info.
