Just before I read these psots about Torrez I wqartched the last rotation for both teams and as I watched her facial expressions nad head movements my thought was Torrez is an arrogant little bitch who knows that Oklahoma leo will provide cover for her missteps and it did just that. She had a huge slide on her last pass yet stillscored a 9.95 . Meanwhile on beam a slight hop amd Kailin gets a 9.90. So , yeah, the Tiuger nation is very pissed about several things yesterday. The best team did not win and a lot of people who are not LSU or OU fans agree.

I’m just as upset about the outcome as the next guy, but calling a college gymnast a b***h is too much.

Most absurd thing I’ve read on this thread. And that’s quite the accomplishment. I hope you don’t have kids, now or in the future, with that attitude.

So lsu vs ok again?

It’s LSU vs OU vs Florida. But if we have a repeat of yesterday, Minn could beat us as well. We have to be at the absolute top of our game to win.

At least we got through beam. A little pressure on us for the final two. We can do this

We’re on beam next.

Do you know anything about Flau’Jae??

we have Caroline and Kate.

Isn’t Caroline the 2027 class?
I don’t know what it’s like at other schools, but it’s hard to imagine these girls not loving playing at a spotlight school like LSU. They play in front of a full house, where the fans treat them like rock stars, hanging around after the game waiting to get pics and autographs. Especially when their playing time is only going to increase. Makes no sense. I mean, are these girls really getting that much money at other schools??

Cannot lose her. That is gonna kill beam and floor besides the bar. This could be game changing for the rest of the season.

Konnor is rarely on floor, but still….,

Are they playing in some type of bubble where cell phones don’t exist?

Are you seriously suggesting she might be reading texts during the game, or that anyone on her staff is reading texts and relaying them to her?

Geno has no idea what it’s like playing in the SEC. He’s not used to physical games like he just played. However, he said after the 3rd qtr that there were a total of 6 fouls called in the qtr, all against UConn. I find it very hard to believe that SC, with their physical style of play, committed no fouls in a qtr. So I can see his frustration.
Good Lord, a lot of players aren’t transferring out. One player is entering the portal, Bourrege. Kim herself said everyone else is returning. This is old news anyway. Mulkey has addressed the lies and put the rumors to rest. Stop making things worse by dragging it back up.

Its women's basketball. No one cares. LSau plays like playground kids. It caught up w them against a disciplined team. Game over

The past few years, it is evident that a lot more people care about LSU women’s basketball than LSU men’s basketball. You know, sell out crowds and all. Maybe that’ll change with Wade as coach, time will tell.

We weren’t our best last night, but you’re way off if you think we don’t have a talented, disciplined, well coached team. You think we only played 4 or 5 disciplined teams this year? Give me a break.

The Baton Rouge Regional rotation order. The coaches were given the choice of what event they will begin on. Jay usually chooses bars but ending on floor should be a strong closer for LSU. Let's hope LSU will get a few sticks on vault with it being the first event.

That is surprising! I would have thought he would always prefer starting on vault. Do you think he chose our order for SEC’s? We need to end on floor!
I thought - from the preseason hype - that our biggest problem this year would be who makes the lineups. We had embarrassing riches of depth. Now it’s like who can be counted on for those 5th and 6th spots. Why aren’t Mustari and Brinkman making it into lineups? And what happened with Zoe Miller? I still think we have a shot at a natty, but we aren’t as stacked as I thought we were going to be.

You look at the lineups Florida should win it every yr. They have ridiculous talent. Think the coach is very average.

Honest question, how much can the coach do? I mean, how does one coach get sticks from their gymnasts and others don’t? We joke about Kindler beating the girls if they don’t, but seriously, what is she doing that Jay, Jenny, etc aren’t?

Adding that if it is coaching, Jenny is doing a much better job this season. Florida is looking good!
Seems like every year at Gym 101 we hear that the vault sticks will come as the season progresses, but here we are in post season once again without consistent sticks. Other than Chio of course!

Regional sites are predetermined years in advance so most years, NQS tells us where we’re traveling to and who we will face at regionals. This year, because we are hosting, no matter where we end up in the top 16, we will be in BR for regionals. SEC championships scores count towards our NQS ranking however we still will more than likely be a number one seed within our regional so it will just be a matter of which other teams we will face at regionals in the bracket in the PMAC. It does generally speaking, but it doesn’t matter as much this year, except at nationals where the number one overall seeded team usually has the harder path to the finals (though now there is so much parity in NCAA Gymnastics that anyone could be eliminated at any point between the first round of regionals and national finals so there really is no easy path to the finals anymore)

@lsugymfan….thanks for that informative reply!
quote:

Can confirm: they cannot count this score and now only have 1 198+ score counting for their NQS (198.050) whereas we have now 3 we can count, including this 198.325 (which replaces our home 198.325 in NQS counted scores). If we can hit just as well or slightly better next week at home, we will be able to count both of the 198.325’s we’ve had so far this year

Exactly what does our NQS do for us? We already host a regional, correct? Does the NQS just matter for national ranking? What determines our draw for nationals?
