Following, interested in doing the same. Assuming Mayeaux Plumbing is in or around Baton Rouge? Would they handle everything or just do mainly plumbing work?
I like this movement, but it can be difficult to find much native species at your local nursery. I found this site when looking around. Might be a little drive from your area, but check it out. All native species, some trees, some shrub and some herbaceous.

Greaux Native
Also, check out Elsie's Plate and Pie on Government, very good food but can have long wait times. Bldg 5 and Overpass Merchant near Parrains are very good. Check out Simple Joe Cafe on Government for breakfast.
Another for Buffalo Trace. Also like Basil Hayden.
Not Long Island, but took family to Eleuthera Island. Never felt unsafe at all. Rented a minivan. Driving took getting used to as it was on the wrong side of the road from American style.
Second for Benoits. Best smoked sausage around. Been using them for several years and never been disappointed.

Not exactly close, but the Exxon truck stop in Tallulah off Hwy65 south of I-20 used to have shiners and crickets. About 25 minutes from Poverty Point though. But depending on where you are coming from, might work.

Possibly interested. Got contact info?
Have shot at Iberville range a few times. Great facility. Rifle range goes from 25 yards to 100 yards. Have to buy their targets. Rifle range is covered and has multiple shooting tables. They have sleds and vises along with spotting scopes, ear protection and glasses.
Much appreciated advice. Hopefully will report back with results. Should be a good time regardless.
Dumb question, but do you have spotlight on feeder or thermal binocs to see them coming? Or just listen and get ready? Will be hunting small food plot with feeder or corn pile.
Any tips for night hunting with thermal? Never done it, but have access to thermal scope. Was just going to sit in box stand near feeder. Place is too thick to stalk without making a bunch of noise.
Ended up not going. Saturday and Sunday hunts were toss ups anyway. Couldn't stay there until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Supposed to be leaving for northern Oklahoma tomorrow morning. Area is supposed to get more snow than ice. Will see how it goes.

More worried about getting home Monday.

Have recently used K and M, as did a coworker. Both had very good results. Honest work and fair prices. Had brakes done there and it was significantly less than the Acura dealership quote.
Second for Flying Heart. Great beer and really good food. Pizza is excellent. Also, get the wings, highly recommend.

Call Jesse’s tire service in Prairieville. Got much better prices there than quoted here.

Looking for same for GMC Z71. Was recommended Falken wildpeak by local tire shop and they had good reviews online. Curious if anyone has any experience with them. Had Toyo before with good results.
