People are shot by well trained cops all the time. Following instructions, and fighting any perceived injustice later in court, dramatically increases your chances of not being shot.
It’s a sad situation, but she made the decision to engage with them. She’d be alive if she had just stood on the sidewalk and protested peacefully.

No, but they practically invited her. I thought the first two officers seemed to be handling it fine and then their supervisor suddenly decided everyone was going to jail.
Didn’t seem like the dad did much to get arrested. They knew the mom was an idiot before she got there. Why not tell her to stay home?

Even if you only consider legacy airlines “big”, many pilots are hired with fewer than 5,000 hours, including former military pilots.

I was on a terrible JV high school team. We were a small private school but played the local public schools. We lost 100-25 once. It didn’t really bother me at the time. We still had fun for the most part. I think it would have upset us more if the other teams stopped trying.
I think he went crazy over her getting him fired more so than leaving him.
I like Vince Gilligan shows but there are quite a few episodes like this one where there isn’t much happening.

There was a time I may have cared but that time has passed. Saying, “Florida sucks but at least we’re part of the mighty SEC!” doesn’t really make me feel better anymore.

I was in Costco one time and a guy walked up to the return counter with a printer and a big jar of pickles. The printer was out of the box and looked about ten years old. He didn’t like the taste of the pickles.
