Advice about college dating?

Im sick of striking out. I can’t even get a formal date to a fraternity formal. I was in a class for 3 hours at night , went all out for a girl. I wore shoe lifts, wore contacts( ruined my eyes), spanx, and she just rejected me. She is bringing another guy to her formal. Same with this other girl. Thing is I can’t get the first girl out of my mind. She probably doesn’t even think of me, but I think of her every 5 minutes.
How did you meet girls in college? My social circle sucks and my self-confidence just got cut to shite. I feel like such a failure. Almost every other guy I know has had success with women and I’m still basically a middle schooler. I feel like a freak.
