re: Unpopular opinion: Not every man is meant for the trades

These jobs leave almost no room for error, and the consequences don’t just affect the worker, they can seriously harm others. Not everyone has the mechanical skill or attention to detail required. One small mistake behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler can have devastating results.
How a car works is completely Greek to me, but I can walk you step-by-step through a total knee replacement or look at an any Google street view image and tell you the location just like that. Some jobs demand mechanical skills others demand other skills. Trust me, you do not want me driving an 18 wheeler, fixing a car or dealing with any electrical outlet.
I would also say this line of thinking prevents people from seeking out the trades, or even taking on more DIY jobs in general.
That would be a great get. He plays baseball too...

They had 2 penalties for 4 yard midway into the 4th quarter.

I like the social interaction and the routine of going into the office.
re: You travel back and can see the Egyptian pyramids being built or live woolly mammoths

This is a trick questions. Wooly Mammoths were walking the earth when the pyramids were being built. So, technically, you could do both.

I didn’t think you could diagnose someone with CTE. Maybe they ruled out Dementia or Alzheimer’s?
Terrible news for coach. I was hoping they could honor him in 2027 for 20 year reunion for 2007
I believe he was referring to Tommy Casanova.

Dude looks like he coaches football.
re: Should I buy a GMC Terrain or a Mazda CX-50?
Posted by kjp811 on 1/6/26 at 9:08 am to notiger1997
The CX-50 is an all around better vehicle than the Terrain. It's cheaper, more powerful, more reliable, more refined, etc.
Coach O gave John Robinson a job in his 80s.
He's has a very long leash with that organization given how the Bengals like to operate.
re: How did Michigan fail so epically in vetting Moore?
Posted by kjp811 on 12/12/25 at 9:14 am to Jugular Joe
They needed Moore to keep the program together while the school was under sanctions. I don't think this hire was ever long term.

In my opinion, the DEI talk is bunk. From what I observed, Moore was a continuity hire.
Agreed. Moore was a loyal "Michigan Man" designated to navigate the program through the Harbaugh fallout. Once that was clear, I suspected he would be replaced.

I don't know what y'all are paying back home but here in Denver, specifically by my office in Commerce City, we're paying $1.79.
Is the interim better than BK though?
Same guy also started a thread back in January that Nick Saban was going to be Arky's next coach.
re: Whoa, video of 50 car pile up in Indiana this morning.

What's really strange is that there was major pile-ups in Indiana, Missouri, and Colorado for this storm, and they were all on I-70
