The Police Dept is 150 cops short and running out of money. If public safety fails, it won't matter how much money or branches the library has. Until those library nerds are getting robbed and call 911, only to get put on hold due to shortages, they'll never understand priorities.

In the late 80s, Fast Track Hamburgers was a little chain of drive thru only burger joints right here in town owned by Dr. Richard Hill. The first one was at Perkins and Siegen. A burger combo with fries and a drink was $1.97.
A few of the iconic buildings with the double drive thru windows are still standing. One is on Burbank near Gardere, another is at the corner of Airline Hwy and Pecue lane, now "Chicky Sandos". Cane's took over a few of them including Drusilla at I-12 which is still in operation.
Last I heard you could still get a FT burger at the gas station on Hwy 22 a mile or so from the Sunshine Bridge.
