There's a Frigidaire for about $6k

Is that shitty brand these days? I have had reliable Frigidaire stuff in the past.

You can look at Bosch or GE Profile if the premium brands don't fit the budget. Ideally, find a good appliance shop nearby that can service what you purchase. I'm personally not a fan of big box stores when it comes to appliances.
Whatever flavor of Kawasaki Mule peaks your interest IMO.
If you want the best, IMO, get a Wolf.
I had the same concerns as you. Ultimately, we decided to do the motorized. I wanted to keep the space flexible for any future back yard additions. Example, if you do a pool, it would be nice to open everything up on those days.

We spoke with our contractor early on and were able to incorporate these more seamlessly. They are pretty much completely hidden. The casing for the screen is recessed with outlets pre-planned for power. Wasn't any additional cost really if you plan ahead.

Hope this helps! Just one option of course, but I'm glad we went with it.

Any interest in making your own? Super easy.
We love our two wheel cart. Fitted it up with 100' of continental hose and I move it around as needed. Worth the price without a doubt even at full price.

Replaced mine from IDA for $26/ft shadow boxed. Cheapest I found by a wide margin but the wait was painful. SE LA.

I've got a few. They out punch their price point IMO. I've got a Mitch, Dream, Toadface, and Deputy.
These are all pretty comparable to be honest. Unless you are doing any serious off-roading, either of these will get you what you are looking for.

Pay attention to your choice of tire as this will have a big impact that your shocks won't be able to overcome.

How do you feel the compass stability compares to the outback? I got on both at the kayak place in Gulfport and stood in them. They didn’t feel much different but of course that was in a pool. I’m stuck between the two.

Agree. I had the same dilemma, and I ended up with the outback. I thought about some of the things I'd want to add to the Compass and the Outback started making more sense since it comes with more standard features.

Mak is a great company that makes some great grills. I have dealt with them several times over the years and when you call them with a question you actually talk to a human being and most times with one of the owners. They will go out of their way to help you with any issue you are having. I have two of their smokers and one of them has had over 2 tons of pellets run through it. The digital controller they designed is second to none. They are not for everyone because they are expensive. But if you are at a point in life where you can afford to support a family owned American business they are an excellent choice. They even named the business after the first letter of their kids names. Mat, Alex, and Kal.

Agree with all of your points! This is the only grill/smoker on my patio now. It has replaced everything else I've owned. Another great point about Mak is majority of their new innovations/upgrades are backwards compatible! Also, I find it produces more smoke than any other I've run across. Again, the price of entry is not for everyone, but for someone looking at the premium market, I'd have it at the top of my list along with a VERY few others.

I really looked hard at the RecTec but wanted to stay American so looked at Mak, Yoder, and P&S. I pulled the trigger on the P&S since its made in Houston and they delivered it to BR.

Good choice :) I would have went this route, but I ended up finding a barely used Mak on Facebook Marketplace :nana:

I've had good success with the B&B from Academy. The championship blend is a pretty good bang for the buck at $14.99 for a 40lb bag. They do not seem to produce a large amount of ash. Lots of folks swear by Lumberjack, but they are not available locally from what I can tell. I believe Dick's has them for a considerable mark up.

Sold. I just ordered the Rectec RT-700. Emailed them a couple of times. Extremely fast response. Read a bunch of reviews and watched some youtube videos. Y'alls recommendation sealed the deal. Can't wait to do some ribs and a brisket!

Congratulations! Take a look at the front shelf and interior grilling shelf as accessories. I think you'll find both of those very useful with your purchase.

Stick with Rec-Tec. If you want to spent something more premium than that you can check out Pitts & Spitts or Mak. Yoder isn't in the same conversation.
30lb Braid without a leader is what I use. I enjoy a medium rod personally with a fast action. I've found myself going lighter through the years. Hell, this past year I likely caught more reds on my medium-lite setup than any others I had in the boat.
Another vote for the Daiwa BG in the size 2500. I wouldn't mess with anything else in that budget.
I would order them yourself and install ATLEAST the rear ones by yourself. You should be able to bring the front struts to a local garage if you aren't willing to do those. Call around.

Take it back. We shouldn't have to tell you that.

re: Inshore bait cast reels:

Haven't use any of those mentioned.

The "inshore" on baitcast reels is more marketing IMO. You'll be OK with reels not labeled as such. Hell, I've been throwing curados for the past 15 or so years and spray them down and typical maintenance and been just fine.

Sorry I can't help, just offering some advice to not limit yourself :)

ETA: on a side note, that is a mighty fine looking trailer. Wouldn't mind having one of those as a tourney prize

Check out On The Water Innovations. This guy makes some pretty snazzy rigs which would make a nice prize I agree ;)
