Q: You were joking about solar, right?

THE PRESIDENT: No, not joking, no. There is a chance that we can do a solar wall. We have major companies looking at that. Look, there’s no better place for solar than the Mexico border -- the southern border. And there is a very good chance we can do a solar wall, which would actually look good. But there is a very good chance we could do a solar wall.

One of the things with the wall is you need transparency. You have to be able to see through it. In other words, if you can’t see through that wall -- so it could be a steel wall with openings, but you have to have openings because you have to see what’s on the other side of the wall.

And I’ll give you an example. As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don’t see them -- they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It’s over. As cray as that sounds, you need transparency through that wall. But we have some incredible designs.

Ladies and gentlemen... The president of the United States of America.

When you take your families to visit the glorious wall, watch for the hazardous flying 60 pound bags of drugs. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Exactly what information will they get from this that you are afraid of them having? Your name and address???!!!! Your legal status??!!!! The horror!

They've done nothing to show that they are capable of keeping this data secure. A GOP firm just recently got caught hosting a ton of voter data with no encryption and not even any password protection, and this data is exactly the kind of thing someone who wanted to meddle in our elections could use to plan an attack.

So, if nothing else, the commission's haste to collect all this info in one place would make it much easier for a hostile party to gain access to all of it at once, which is already all the reason any state should need to tell them to frick off. On top of that, though, the fact that President that called for this commission is having his campaign investigated for possibly colluding with a foreign entity undermine the previous election doesn't exactly make me confident that the intentions of this massive data grab are on the up and up.

Lol, your girl Kellyanne Conway dated him at point too, dumbass. :rotflmao:

Kathy Griffin holds a severed bloody head of Trump, no biggie, a joke, etc

Firstly, that photo was widely condemned.

Secondly, Kathy Griffin is a C list celebrity, not an elected official. I wouldn't vote for her for dog catcher. Electing classless, unqualified, C-list celebrity idiots is a Republican thing.

mock assassination of Trump in a play, that's fine,

I think it's dumb, but they did the same thing with Obama back in 2012, and no one gave a shite then.

numerous tweets by journalists, media, actors, etc. about assassinating Trump

You're exaggerating, and you're still comparing the actions of a few random people to the actions of an elected leader. If you were a little more informed, you might at least have cited the example of the Nevada democratic party official who said he was glad Steve Scalise was shot. That guy proves that individual democrats can be idiots just like republicans, although it doesn't support your ridiculous claims of hypocrisy because democrats condemned that guy and fired his arse immediately.

I don't see another option.... do you?

Yes, because I don't just make shite up to suit my fancy

What in the hell has happened to our country?

We've never been fond of fascism. This is nothing new.

What are they trying to hide?

Sensitive voter information.

quote:

What are they so scared of?

Trump abusing access to that information. Either by using it internally for voter intimidation / suppression, or by "accidentally" leaving it unsecured on Amazon drive where anyone (like maybe a foreign power with an interest in interfering in our election) can access it like that GOP group just did, or even just buy publishing it publicly like the fricking letter requesting the info said they were going to.

quote:

They have no problem with PACS or special interest groups having them to do blanket robo call but a committee investigation possible fraud is told to frick off?

This list contains far more invasive info than that kind of thing.

quote:

They say fraud isn't widespread. Well how the hell do we know that if we don't investigate it?

How about we finish the ongoing investigation of the people pulling for this bullshite abuse of power for their potential collusion with a foreign entity undermine our last election first?

quote:

Really?

Yes, really. This fake outrage is hilarious. People on this message board were openly making fake calls to disrupt Ossoff's get out of the vote effort, proving how little most of you care about the sanctity of elections, but now you just want states to bend over for Trump's bullshite... It's hilarious :rotflmao:
I can't stomach 5 minutes of that shill, but does he at least point out how fricking pathetic it is that Trump keeps pretending in his tweets like he doesn't watch Morning Joe? Trump's credibility is already basically zero, but when he starts each tweet on this subject pretending like he doesn't care about the show when they obviously occupy prime real estate in his brain is a dumb lie even for Trump.

But, get back to me when he starts using the government against his political opponents,

Firing Comey for investigating him was a bigger abuse of office than anything Obama ever did.

makes comments about police acting stupidly when he doesn't know anything about the situation.

Wait, I thought words don't affect anything...

But, in any case, he did accuse officer Betty Shelby, whom has since been acquitted, of getting scared and choking when she shot a man reaching into his car.

But then, you've already made it pretty clear that while Obama's words matter, Trump's don't.
