I have a friend that swears by the .300blk ones. They haven’t came off backorder since I’ve looked months ago, though.

That’s who I’d use in the Lafayette area. Have used Adrian’s in the past but they’re not doing it anymore. Now I just do it all myself.

I got my son a CVA Scout Takedown 350 Legend last Christmas when he was 7yo. Leupold freedom 4-12x50 with a 36M on it shooting 170gr Barnes. Great combo! Light, short, no recoil etc. He’s taken hogs and a doe with it thus far with great results.

Also, I agree on primitive season being a joke but he’ll be able to use it to primitive hunt when he’s older, too.

I have a CZ, not that model. Believe you’d be real pleased with it.

The price isn’t, coming in at $1,999.
The 2026 pioneer 520 isn’t as loud, supposably shift smoother and is faster.
I check their daily deals when I think about it. You can get some crazy deals if you check it daily on all kind of different items. Free shipping to your house typically also. In fact power tools are on sale today and blow the bogo deal out the water.

My Dad always did chains with turn buckles. I had to chisel a few out for him over the years. As previously said they will absolutely grow into the tree if not adjusted every other year or so.

I like that one, new to me. Similar to Lansky but seems more user friendly. I loved my lansky kit but it’s not quick. Lost it got a Gatco kit, copy of lansky and still have it.

Got a Warthog V-sharp A4 to speed things up last season and it’s out of adjustment since coming out the box so I put it aside. Need to adjust it or get rid of it. I’ve seen them work well but won’t put as good or an edge as a Lansky style sharpener.

I gave up free handing with a stone. Could never nail it.

The taper on the barrel is likely too small to be threaded unfortunately.

They then thread it to 1/2”-28. After, they install an adapter to 5/8”-24. I had that done on one of mine with zero issues. Might’ve added 3/16” of extra length.

Brand of the frame doesn’t matter long as you have a Honda GX motor and Cat pump.

Side note… A lot of pump failures are caused from letting the unit idle too long. Mfg’s recommend no longer than 1min. Pump will over heat without flow.

Imagine loosing a $80 bait
I went from Berreta to my SX4 and haven’t looked back. Had a slough of friends with the SX4 that got me looking at them. Don’t regret it.
All season feeders make really good products.

Correct, the Daisy Buck Model 105 is much shorter. I’d recommend that and go from there.
Friend has one I’ve ran. Copy of the Stihl 660 I believe. Took a little tuning but it’s a beast.

You can't stop the spread, you will see those eggs everywhere in the next 6 months.

Got that right!

They got into my pond, came from the over flow ditch going towards the road. Can go pull 40+ out a night and not see a difference. Knock down eggs weekly. Not slowing down. Called LSU and they don’t have anything figured out for them yet. Someone told me copper sulphate will kill them but haven’t tried it yet.
OB still helping us spend money.

Ordered for my son, too. Thanks!
