League revenues has nothing to do with individual team staff salaries
The NBA has revenue sharing, meaning small market teams like the Pelicans receive a check in the Millions ( some sites estimate it anywhere from $20 - $40 million a year ) So while I understand that top NHL teams rival small market NBA teams in terms of finances, I still believe that a NBA team should be able to attract better overall staffing
As far as the director of special events leaving the NFL for the NHL for better pay, I can assure you that if the NFL wanted to match or exceed the NHL’s offer, they could have easily. Maybe they figured they could find a replacement way easier than paying them more…..on the flip side of that, the NHL probably wanted to pick a director straight from the top of the sports world (NFL) and nothing else!
When an employee decides to leave a NBA team for a position in a NHL franchise, I sure hope it’s because of a personal decision and not a financial decision.
Annual Revenue NFL $20 billion….MLB $11 billion….NBA $ $10.6 billion….NHL….$6.2 B

How embarrassing!!! A NHL team should never be able to lure away any personnel from NFL, MLB or NBA
Time will tell. This main group isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Thanks to Joe
Yeah, I know. Not trying to jinx us. I was just saying we could be competitive if our starting 5 can stay healthy and get time on the court. Hell, I even think we have a decent bench. We just had a terrible Coach for YEARS!!!! He was horrible at coaching up and play calling

We have one of the least talented rosters in the NBA
I never said we have immense talent, just we have a competitive starting 5 IF THEY CAN PLAY TOGETHER WITHOUT INJURIES.
2nd Qtr vs Jazz

We just started the 2nd qtr and the Jazz have 5 steals already! Turnovers kill us without even speaking about playing defense! We have a very competitive starting 5 if everyone could Fukkin stay healthy and play together for a long time.

Was that his triple double game?

I had thought it’s been years since we had at least 15 boards from a player, but I was reminded by another post that Queen had 16 during his triple double night against the Wizards. These rebounds tonight is a huge reason why they won.

I have always felt he is one of the guys who needs playing time. He has talent for a 24yr old 6’10 guy. If we had coaches that could help these guys become playmakers

Maybe he meant to say that BI missed every game winner that he was watching and that gives the impression that he sucks more than what’s true!
re: I hope Atlanta gets 1st pick and Ind finishes top 5

I also could not agree more with you! I would love to see the Pels hit an even worse rock bottom than this. Worse than pissing away 2 top 5 picks in a generational talented draft!
How much worse can it get?
Posted by Gcaro76 on 2/20/26 at 9:30 pm
Honestly, can next year be even worse than last year & this year? How do we stop the bleeding, actually the hemorrhaging, from this franchise???
re: Murray vs Tatum injury recovery!

100% agree! It’s why I have stopped buying tickets and spending countless hours driving to New Orleans and watching entitled babies perform half arse, if they not sitting out for rest days or never ending injuries, when in reality they should be busting their asses at the very least because of the loving basketball and COMPETING
Murray vs Tatum injury recovery!
Posted by Gcaro76 on 2/11/26 at 8:50 am
Murray injured his achilles on January 31 ‘25
& Tatum May 12 ‘25. I do realize everyone is different when it comes to injuries but damn! Both returned to on court practicing within a day of each other February 8 & 9

Even with the corrupt NBA brass guaranteeing Dallas the #1 pick if Luka was traded to Lakers, it still was in running with what Dumars has done with Pelicans

re: So we going to “ Run it Back” next season with just a different coach and make playoffs?
Posted by Gcaro76 on 2/5/26 at 7:18 pm to Chad504boy
BINGO. NOBODY WILL EVER CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE! THE TRADE WITH LUKA AND THEN THE MAVS GETTING #1 PICK WITH A 1.8% CHANCE WAS THE NBA LAUGHING AT THE PUBLIC AND KNOWING THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT.
re: Have to trade Zion by tomorrow….
Posted by Gcaro76 on 2/4/26 at 10:35 pm to Jizzamo311
100% agree. We have to get that stinch, which is Zion, off this team or it will ALWAYS be a repellent keeping a winning team from developing
ALL 5 starters played 30+ min vs Grizzlies
Posted by Gcaro76 on 1/30/26 at 9:48 pm
Well, I’ll be a crossed-eyed son of a gun! I can’t believe what I saw!!! All of our starters played 30+ minutes tonight. I have been thinking this is what these guys needed to do for a few years now. Keep their A$$ on the court for at least 30 minutes a game!
