Off field stuff aside, our administration wants you to believe that Hugh Freeze who has a losing record in the SEC of 19-21 is the best coaching candidate in America when reality he is the only candidate they were willing to hire.
Its not hard to find coaches with losing SEC records. There is a long list of ex SEC coaches. This is the make up hire for not getting to put Kevin Steele in 2 years ago.
It demonstrates Auburn has no desire to be competitive with the big programs in America. We are content to be a mediocre team indefinitely.

For the right level of support, facilities, NIL and right salary we should be able to interest anyone. Any name you want to choose. Everyone has a price. You at least start there.

Auburn fans trying to justify Freeze..why didnt anyone else want him? Why didnt SEC schools last year offer him, why didnt Nebraska or Wisconsin talk to him this year?
We need to hire a winner away from a big school, not settle for some washed up turd no one wants.
Spend big money on NIL and FOF and then scrape bottom on head coach? Retarded and embarrassing.

I never post on the rant though ive been reading for over a decade. This has disappointed to a level where I felt I had to post. As an Auburn fan im ashamed that any of us would accept Hugh Freeze. He is a poor mans Gus Malzahn.
We all deserve better. Just because he beat Bama a couple times doesnt make him a good coach. Why isnt any other team interested in him this year or in prior years? Thats all you need to know. Good coaches are considering offers every year.
