Was there a few weeks ago, ate at these 2 places:

Bar la Grassa - great italian
Manny's - steakhouse, good, but not worth the price.
If your father owns the car outright, no taxes owed (I believe). If there is an outstanding balance owed to a lender, sales tax is owed on this amount.
Without getting into the ethics of this, I would question if you are significantly overpaying for roofing supplies by shopping at places that accept gift cards (Home Depot I assume). I always thought that actual roofers used material supply houses, not big box stores. But I have no idea.

Agree with Mastros. If you're stuck downtown try Nick and Stef's - very good.

Give Treebeards a try. They have several locations downtown. Two in the tunnels and two or three above ground.

re: Give me some Chicago Recs

For steak Chicago Chop House and David Burke's Primehouse are good. Gibson's is probably good too, but I've never been there. Don't waste your money at Gene & Georgetti's.
As long as you deal with someone locally, selling your car on craigslist is no different than putting a for sale sign in the window, except lots more people will see it.

Not an expert in this - but I believe that Sam's Club and Costco offer this service also.

For instance, since most pass attempts exceed 10 yards or more, most quarterbacks also have high incompletion percentages on passes that exceed 10 yards or more and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out

Actually, if most pass attempts exceed 10 yards, then a quarterback's completion percentage for them would be about the same as his OVERALL completion percentage. I guess it does take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
I doubt this is the place he was talking about, but I've heard it's good...

Why would you think that Whitney would have access to your Capital one credit card data?

They probably do have access. Credit card companies (as well as other companies you pay) share information with banks. It's called e-bills.
Like other posters mentioned, you will probably have success getting BoA to reverse the late fee.

If you are unsuccessful though, you might look and see what your bank can do. My bank guarantees that payments will post timely or they will cover me for any late fees.
This is kind of like saying "why couldn't you do calculus in fifth grade? All you had to do was learn it."

That's just dumb.
Cincy=small school, Stanford=mid-level school??
Seems like I remember several "do you realize how bad the La Tech defense is?" threads...
I thought it would be interesting to see what McCluster did his freshman year to compare against Shep.

McCluster had a total of 68 yds rushing and 232 yds receiving his WHOLE freshman season.

Living in Houston I hear Kevin Sumlin on 1560am all the time. Man is legit.

Is this a joke? If you are looking back in time, of course you can find some particular mutual fund that beat the Vanduard Total Stock, or the Vanguard 500, or any other index fund. The point is that looking forward, your chances of doing so decrease dramatically.

if you have sufficient cash saved up and you don't have a better investment opportunity for your money right now (likely), then sink that money in your mortgage.

I can't put my finger on a particular scam that this guy could pull, but my gut feeling is to be suspicious of this offer.

re: 401K Contributions

This advice is worth what you paid for it, but I'm thinking that if your going to be invested in the 401k for at least the next 25 years, be aggressive and don't look back.

Unless you think the world is ending - there are some great values out there right now that will be appreciating significantly once the current mess gets straightened out.

Trying to time the market - or investing safe until "the bottom" is strategy that's doomed to fail.

If your company has a legal plan benefit, you can sign up at open enrollment, get your will done during the year and then cancel the legal plan at your next open enrollment.

I've been to Seattle many times and there's nothing wrong with Silver Cloud. No worries.
At least he's wearing a nice suit.
