I actually think Oregon has a solid program. Yea they have Nike money but I don’t think they get propped up near like was USC did in their run. Dan Lanning is a great coach and seems like a great person too. His message to his team and the media after the game was rock solid.

I think he’s thanking LSU for the NIL deal we gave him. Y’all are all sky is falling mode. Relax.

And if they have anything on Waltz, Mayor Mini or Ellison indict them immediately. The wolves are running the hen house.

She’s clearly at fault and signed herself up for this but I’ll never celebrate death. It’s a tragedy the Democratic Party has brain washed these people into domestic terrorists.
Minnisota is ground zero to the international war against the US

They have taken one state and used our election system against us to illegally place a governor and multiple mayors through the state. Minnesota is just as hostile to US law as Venezuela.
Prove me wrong. California a close second. Washington is next.
Hints of this happened during the George Floyd debacle. But the fraud and now the attacks on ICE it’s becoming obvious. This is 100% the reason Walz was tapped as VP also.

Just offer what they’re worth but don’t overpay. You take either of those guys for 4-5 mil. North of that I think you shop. At some point they have to want to be here also.
Spend the $ on the lines on both sides of the ball. A good oline with a vet QB that can move a little and makes good decisions is better than paying 7 mil for a QB with no line.

Proud day to be an American!! God Bless our soldiers and their families.

God Bless our military and their families. While we enjoyed our freedom to celebrate Christmas and other religious holidays and New Year’s they were deployed focused on a mission sacrificing time with their families.
God Bless them all and thank them for their service. Our military is back and I couldn’t be more proud to be an American.

Don’t really see this as nation building. We didn’t destroy the whole country nor did we invade with thousands of troops. I think we maintain stability while a new leader stands up their team.
The only ones opposed to this were Maduro, Russia, China the cartels and oh the democrats

Everyone else understands this was legal and a great day for Venezuela, Latin America and the US. Especially oil markets and impacting drugs being imported into the US.
The fictitious war on drugs every other president pretended to do killed thousands of Americans bc no one had the guts to challenge the head winds the American media created. Trump doesn’t care what the media thinks. He’s rolling over these people with common sense policies moving faster than they can respond.

There is a known texting scam for unpaid tolls that is absolutely a scam. Google it. If you didn’t get a notice I’d call them not pay through the link in the text.
re: Ever notice how great a coach is coming to LSU and how lousy they are leaving?
Posted by tigereye58 on 12/25/25 at 6:52 pm to Sassafrasology
I’m more talking about assistant coaches.
Frank Wilson (x2)
Corey Raymond (x1.5)
Brad Davis
All were coaches the Rant loved and dismissed them at terrible on their way out. Wilson it happened twice. Raymond loved then hated now loved again. Brad Davis was the best O-line coach and now he’s not.

Just an observation.
I think it’s just fine for a coach to come and go but the players make the coach. Not saying they’re aren’t bad coaches but can they be great when they come and bad when they leave?
I think Brian Kelly is the only one that was lousy when he came and lousy when he left.
The back up QB and the others teams position coach are the Rant’s favorite at all times. ??

re: If our government capped auto financing at 60 months would car prices come down?

I agree 100% with what you said. But the premise of my question is we are all paying more for car than we should and one of the reasons for that is some fools out there are willing to finance it for 84 months. 1/5th of Americans. Their willingness to do so is impacting all of us. So I see this as more of a regulation on big business rather than a limitation on Americans. Take away the 72 and 84 month options and car prices come down. Say and F-150 comes down 10% which is half of the 20% increase since 2020. That’s now 58k instead of 65k. And the financing at 60 months ends up similar. When Biden put in the EV tax incentive Ford increased the Lightening by the exact amount.

According to Edmonds in 2Q 2025 84 month car loans reached an all time high of 21%
70% of car loans are for 60 months or more.
Auto companies are more in the lending trade than the car manufacturing trade. How many cars will last 60+ months.
With warranties running out the game to be in is the extended warranty or auto shop.

Agree here. I think Ford realized they could finance higher priced cars by adding a IPad to the dash and putting leather seats. And BAM charge 30k more and finance it for 72 months.
The alternative to no finance regulation is a bailout of epic proportions on the back of responsible citizens. The bubble coming is the American debt bubble. Our society is built on debt. Overextended house notes and upside down cars, overpriced medical services.

It's not the government's responsibility to keep stupid people from doing stupid things
You can’t possibly be serious. The government prevents people from doing stupid things all day long. Society has to have some regulation to be sustainable. Speed limit signs, basic food quality standards, I get it that the government over reaches all the time too but a civil debate over where our government benefits society is realistic for a political message board. I’m all about keeping the government out of my life but also not naive or stupid enough to think a country with 350 million people is sustainable without some basic oversight.

Similar to home loans offered at 30 years max
Read an article this morning about how car prices went up bc Americans wanted more “features” and showed an appetite to pay more.
I think prices went up for other reasons (Obama and Biden epa then Covid) and some Americans showed an appetite to finance for 72 to 84 months but the result is a generation that is upside down on every car.
I think prices drop dramatically if Trump ends epa standards and caps financing at 60 months. The 90k Tahoe will be 60k again.
Btw I’m not against people paying high prices for luxury cars. But when I was in school and Johnnys dad drove a Porsche that was 90k it was cool bc Johnnys dad had worked hard for cool stuff. Now Susie’s mom drives a 90k Tahoe bc GM will finance it for 84 months.

re: Baseball recruit question- Jordin Griffin

Man I’m terrible at remembering anything past yesterday but I know there were 2-3 kids that I’m aware of in the top 25-30 in the LA 2025 class that committed to D1 (1 LSU) that got their offer pulled late and went JUCO. And that’s not a knock on them. It’s just a numbers game and for their position the school didn’t have room. The 3 I’m aware of went to Pearl River and LSUE I think.
For 2024-2025 they could still take 40+ kids all the way through spring. Now they can take 40+ for the fall but have to be at 34-36 by early December. There is no more preferred walk on for the spring. It’s a hard 34 with exceptions up to 36.
So all I’m pointing out is that the line for LSU to decide on a kid moved from 42 to 34 so the room for a kid to develop at LSU for a year or 2 just got really narrow. That being said it’s way too early for 2027 kids but just something to watch for.

Agree completely. Some kids like the Juco route to keep draft options open too. Don’t know where his mind leans more towards college or the draft.
And don’t get me wrong…Griffin deserves all of the accolades and will no doubt play high level ball. It’s just a numbers game now at the college level and pitching depth is king.

Griffin is crazy twitchy which I think is what everyone likes. He has tremendous bat speed but I think he’s still maturing as a hitter to hit for average. But he’s young and competing at a high level so his jr sr year is when that should start to show up.
From an LSU perspective I think he’s an interesting case with the new 34 man roster limit. LSU will sign 20-24 HS kids in 2027 but how many of them make it to campus will be closer to 10-12. Some drafted but some told to go to JUCO. The JUCO’s are getting some wildly talented kids out of HS right now. With the 34 man roster limit it’s basically half pitchers plus a few 2 ways guys and a 2 deep at every position w 3-4 catchers. If a freshman can’t project in that 2 deep then they’re likely being told to go to JUCO. Also seems an IF that can flex to OF gets a more favorable look for D1.

The shot hit is body armor and deflected up into his neck and brain. Never exited. That’s how a 30-06 doesn’t pass all the way through. It hit a blunt object. These people know this. Everyone knows this. This is all BS to get clicks.
