As a dad you’ll have to teach them a process for managing their mental emotions. They learn more from losing than they do from winning if they have the right mindset to frame the situation.
For me this is what I used.
Pick 2 skills they need to work on from each game. Don’t focus on the failure focus on what they can work on to get better for next game. Example…if they struck out twice on curve balls flush the strikeouts and let them tell you they want to work on hitting curve balls.
Last make them replay the best play or 2 they had in the game. Make them walk you through it in detail.
Remember the good. Work on the bad. Leave the emotions at the field.

re: What is the most famous crime/murder in your area?

Rose Born killed in her donut shop in Lake Charles was also a brutal crime that shook the community. This one and KK’s corner I think shook the community more than any other in my memory because of the unknowns surrounding them. Most murders have a clear connection of victim to criminal. These 2 did not.

A ball won’t exist in 3 years. College baseball will take its place 100% and that is MLB’s intent. They’re wasting too much $ on kids that never develop enough that should have gone to college. That’s why the draft dropped to 15 rounds and will be only 10 rounds soon. Once it goes to 10 rounds A ball will go away.
This is the most boring Super Bowl I think I’ve ever watched. Commercials included.

No offense. Terrible QB play. Commercials haven’t been funny at all. TPUSA halftime show what pretty solid. But when does the football game start?

We’re a billion dollar brand. $40 mill is cheap. Just give it 5 years. SEC schools will have a salary cap of $100 mil.

Hello every kids family that plays a college sport. Any level of D1 athletics or even high level JUCO and D2 had a family that spent a ton of $ on this. I can’t fault any of them for pursuing THEIR dreams. The life lessons they learned along the way will benefit them and make them stronger people as they become adults.

He’d be with them telling them to run from their sexual impurity.
Jesus died to redeem them too. Sin is sin but they need Jesus just like I need Jesus. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. He’d tell them to take up their cross and follow him.

I could see going to a March for life or something of the sorts. But still not sure it accomplishes anything.
These people are literally marching for the freedom of people that rape and kill and rob them in their own city. Like why doesn’t Waltz just offer for them all to move into the gov mansion.

I never have nor am I aware of any that I had an opportunity to attend.
My city must suck. We just live our normal lives with our normal kids and churches. Somehow people of all colors, ages, genders and ethnicities just get along.

His finger clearly isn’t on the trigger and it does look as if the weapon went off inadvertently as others have said.

Funny everything she feel threatened Trump will do to American citizens is EXACTLY what Joe Biden already did and Donald Trump has not done.
On the contrary he actually decided against go after Clinton and Obama at least to this point 5 years into his presidency(s).
Sounds like a butt hurt CiA operative signaling that the CIA is no longer in control.

re: What is in the guys hands when they shoot him?

Looks pretty clear his phone was in his right hand. But his left hand to me looks to be what they were fighting for. In Stout’s slow mo video to me it looks like a knife. Maybe switch blade? Almost looks like a blade deploys and they shoot.

Absolutely this is easily justified action. Everyone wants to micro analyze the situation but anyone in that 6 foot circle was in a threatening situation even without the protests going on.
Perp resisting, armed and flailing his hands free with unknown objects in his hands while other offers have yelled gun! Gun!

What is in the guys hands when they shoot him?
Posted by tigereye58 on 1/25/26 at 10:53 am
They clearly take the gun off his waist. But he continues to fight. If he has a camera why would he fight so hard to hold onto it? He clearly has something in both hands he doesn’t want to let go of. When he comes to his knees he swings his left hand with something in it. Possibly a knife or second gun? That’s when the shooting began and his action there is what triggered the motion from officers away from him and subsequently shooting.
Appears a black object in his right hand (maybe a phone).

re: ESPN is still pretty high on Nuss for the NFL
Posted by tigereye58 on 1/25/26 at 10:40 am to AMac
He’s got everything they want in the NFL except mobility but if he gets healthy he’ll be better than he was this year there too. He needs a veteran o line to be good. He’ll be a great backup QB for 10 years and have a year or 2 as a starter due to injury. His upside is a Baker Mayfield type guy or Matt Flynn type. We had terrible o line, terrible receivers and terrible offensive scheme and play calling. I’m not sure Tom Brady could have done well for us.
re: Stabilized zoomed in slow motion version of the shooting
Posted by tigereye58 on 1/24/26 at 7:51 pm to Blizzard of Chizz
The guy clearly has something in both hands. When he comes to his knees he has something in his hand that to me appears to be a knife but could be a smaller pistol. Something triggered them all to run back and the first shot to take place. I think the scuffle is over whatever is in the guys hands. Be nice to have the video of when and why it started.
