I'll throw Lindsey Nelson in there although I never heard him call a Vol game...his calls of the Cotton Bowl on CBS when I was a kid were legendary...Paul Eels with Vandy and later Arkansas was a great one...anyone who could make a Vandy football game seem interesting had to be good.

Begins with the late John Ward...Larry Munson was a drunk who threw up all over himself...Stan Torgenson was a fat joke...John Ferguson sounded like he had his head in a bucket...Eli Gold is a stinking Bama homer and totally unprofessional...Jack Cristal was a gem although his voice was like scratching on a blackboard . Cawood Ledford was a great basketball announcer but way too mundane when it came to football.
