First team is what I was getting at. And I cant find a list that has Yorke as a 1st or second team wac 1b or Dardar and Caraway was hyped because of his postseason not his actual season. Point still remains. These guys weren't elite in their old conferences.

Jay is great but getting Skenes from Air Force and him turning into the best pitcher on the planet was by and large luck, nobody could've predicted it and I feel like it kind of warped everything after it

Skenes, Tanks, Daniel Dickinson, Luis Hernandez were all conference guys even if it was from a smaller conferences. It still translated. Dardar, Yorke, Caraway weren't all conference guys even in less competitive conferences. They were good in those conferences but they weren't elite and the step up in competition and lack of production has shown that. I don't mind one or two Braden Simpsons a class because you never know how the power translates but you can't build a team out of those guys.

Yea bro Jake Brown and Derek Curiel are kinda proof its not the hitting coach. Combined our transfer portal infield we have built last two years is hitting below .250 and has as many errors as they do Hrs.
If we are comparing Houston to Underwood I would get the point he was trying to make, I don't see how you can watch both and think LSU is missing or under achieving in some way by going with Houston. Haven is so far behind Houston in fundamentally playing the QB position, theres no comparison. If Houstons was 6'3" he would be ranked ahead of Haven as a prospect.
You really think Jay had hrs and hrs of time and opportunity’s to evaluate talent when the portal opened June 1st while they were winning a national championship and playing until June 22nd? They misssed but you can definitely see how it all manifested.
I never thought it was a national championship team but I didn’t see this level of incompetence coming either. I just knew we had too much talent to replace all at once but I never imagined missing on absolutely everyone we brought in.
Man, we shouldn’t have made fun of A&M for spending all that money and being shitty last year.
They are all extremely young and inexperienced starting pitchers. There is a ton of potential there. Schmidt could be a first round guy.

Come on bro, he’s just a kid playing baseball. Everyone knows he’s not a sec caliber guy and I’m sure you mean you can’t stand seeing him out there but none of these guys are choosing to struggle. It’s been a rough year for everyone not named Derek Curiel or Jake Brown.
“Fixed through recruiting better” tell ya everything ya need to know. Ruckert, Claus, Simpson, Carraway, Yorke, Dardar and both catchers have been below average defensive players.
We took bats and power over fielding. None of these guys were considered good defensive players. They were however supposed to hit, which when they occasionally do, we win.

wanna know what they saw in Clauss this week that made them think this was a good idea.

None of the freshman outside of Serna and Braun look anything close to sec guys.
Last years team absolutely spoiled us defensively but this is ridiculous.

Was a weird wind up. All these guys absolutely fall apart fundamentally in high pressure situations.
They have all had errors right after entering the game all year long.
We have absolutely no 2b on this team wth

That 92 mph 93 fb plays so much better with his change up than the 88, 89 he was throwing early this year.

Because Jay needs more money for a pitching machine! We don’t give him enough

I bet you don’t give anything. I also bet that all the teams that already receive more revenue share from their school for their baseball program like Texas, Georgia, Tenn. Vandy, Miss st, Arkansas, A&M would have zero issue from their fan base if their two time national championship coach advocated for more.

Got outplayed defensively too. That’s the part I can’t stand to see. If we were just a little better defensively we wouldn’t have half the loses we do.
